Title: Turn Your Fears into Peace!
content th=100%>
What is fear? “It’s the emotional response that occurs when you sense danger.”
God has already given us the “self-protection ability” to respond quickly to danger. When danger arises, the brain receives warnings of impending danger and instructs the body to release various hormones. When hormones flow through the bloodstream, physical changes occur. Your muscles get stronger, your heart beats and breathes faster, your eyesight and hearing are sharper than ever, and your legs get stronger and more agile than you can imagine.
What causes these fears? First, the personality factor. A person who exhibits a much more sensitive physical response to fear than others. Second, the psychological factor. It's the fear of those who grew up with fearful parents, those who grew up in a home environment that creates violence, abuse and shame, or those who grew up feeling unloved. Third, environmental factors. For example, a person who has serious difficulties in finding a job is the same as having a lot of fear of an interview.
2 Timothy 1:6-7 “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind”
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid!
Charles, Spurgeon said, “We are really strange creatures. You worry more about what will never happen than about what is actually happening right before your eyes.” Thomas Watson said, “Fear is a more dangerous enemy than the enemy you fear.” JE Adams When you fear God, other fears disappear.” Looking at the types of fear in the Bible, first, Abraham, who fears danger, deceives his wife Sarah as his sister. It was because Abraham had forgotten God's plan to become the mother of the nation through Sarah. The second is Sarah, who has the fear of doubt. Because of her fear of not having a ‘son’, she tries to solve the heir through a female servant named Hagar. Third, the king “Saul” who was afraid of people. The Philistines gather at Makmash, Samuel does not come, and the people disperse and offer burnt offerings.
1 Samuel 15:24 "Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned. I have violated the commandment of the LORD and your word, because I was afraid of the people and obeyed them." Don't be afraid to criticize, learn from it! Overcome your thirst for praise.
To overcome your fear, you must first overcome your fearful imagination! Second, we must believe in the power of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives! Third, we must overcome our fears with love for our neighbor! “There is no fear in love, but morning love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18).
