Title: Twelve Baskets (Ephesians 01:20-23)
Contents Fifth Basket: Filling Twelve Baskets Through the Church
God fills our basket through the body of Christ, the church.
“The church is the body of Christ, the fullness of Him who completes all things” (Ephesians 1:23).
1. Christ is full in the church.
Who is Christ?1) The eternal victor who rose from the dead (verse 20)
2) He who sits at the right hand of God (verse 20)
3) Above all principalities, powers, and powers (verse 21).
4) All things, nature, human beings, and the universe made all things subject to subjection (verse 22).
He is the head of the church.
He dwells fully in the church.
A church without the Lord is without a head
It's like a body.
The Lord leads the church by his wisdom.
2. The church is in the world and fills the world.
This land was abandoned by God and became a desert, and all nature groaned and suffered.
Genesis 3:18 - The earth will produce you thorns and thistles...
On this earth with only empty chaff, God established the church. The church is the grain of all things. Everything without a church is like a shell.1) The church supplies living water to this world like a wilderness.
Ezekiel 47:9 - Wherever this river goes, all living creatures that multiply will live, and there will be very many fish; and the water will flow in, and the sea will be refreshed, and everything will live wherever it goes.
Seas, rivers, mountains, fish, animals, and people are revived through the church.
2) The church gives strength.
Acts 2:46-47 - Day after day, they made every effort to gather together in the temple together, breaking bread at home, eating food with joy and innocence, praising God and receiving praise from all the people. make it happen
3) The church heals.
147:2 The LORD establishes Jerusalem; he gathers the scattered of Israel; he heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.
4) The church shines light.
Matthew 4:16 - The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and to those who sat in the land and shadow of death a light has shone.
Ephesians 1:20-23:20 His power worked in Christ, who raised him from the dead and made him sit at his right hand in heaven 21 and all principalities and authorities and powers and rulers, and all names that are given not only in this world but also in the world to come who exalted above, 22 and put all things under his feet, and gave him head over all things to the church. 23 The church is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
