Title: Twelve Baskets (Matthew 14:13-21)
Contents I am truly grateful to the Lord when I think of the Lord's permission for the special early morning meeting in March this year as well as giving grace to twelve baskets. Just as all things come to life and come to life with new energy and come to life when spring comes, I thank you for blessing me greatly with the seasons of grace, the Word, and the Holy Spirit coming to my soul and my life. But spring doesn't come to everyone. Let us not think of the grace of March in vain (2 Corinthians 6:1), but long for it (1 Corinthians 12:31). Let's pray hard. Let's be more zealous.
The theme of this March's special early morning rally is twelve baskets. In the Bible, numbers have great meaning and are precious.
1 - absolute number, 2 - witness number, 3 - Trinity, number of heavens, 4 - east, west, north, south, number of earth, 7 - perfect number = number of earth, number of heaven, 12 - this number is perfect number, perfection of domination Refers to the rule of domination or domination and is the number of serving powers. 12 is the most precious and beautiful number in the Bible. It is the most used.
Old Testament-① Jacob begot twelve sons (Gen. 35:22), became the ancestor of Israel, occupied Canaan, and became the root of the chosen people until now (Gen 49:28). Among the twelve tribes, Paul was of the tribe of Banjamin (Philippians 3:5) and John the Baptist was of the tribe of Levi (Luke 1:5).
② The Canaanite spies were twelve men, one man from each tribe.
(Deuteronomy 1:23, Numbers 12:1-15).
③ Israel built twelve stones at Gilgal (Joshua 4:19-20).
④ There were also twelve showbreads in the temple.
⑤ The sea outside the temple was supported by twelve oxen from east to west, north and south.
(1 Kings 7:25-26).
⑥ In Solomon's palace stairs, twelve lions were set up on the six steps (1 Kings 10:20).
New Testament-① Jesus called the twelve disciples (Matthew 10:1, 20:17, Mark 6:
7. 10:32). After they sit on the twelve thrones. He said that He would judge the twelve tribes of Israel (Luke 22:30, Revelation 21:14).
② The age of Jesus only appears once before his public life, but it is recorded that he went to the temple when he was 12 (Luke 2:41-52).
③ There are twelve gates in the kingdom of heaven, twelve angels and twelve pearl gates (Revelation 21:12).
(Rev 21:19-20) - The foundation stone of the wall of the city was adorned with various precious stones. The first foundation stone was jasper, the second stone indigo, the third agate, the fourth green gemstone, the fifth red onyx, the sixth gemstone, and the seventh Topaz, the eleventh is green jade, the ninth is limestone, the tenth is jadeite, the eleventh is sapphire, the twelfth is midnight.
(Rev 22:1-2) - And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb in the middle of the road. and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
④ Jesus said that twelve spirits of angels could come (Matthew 26:53), and one spirit consists of 6,000 soldiers.
Therefore, 12 is a precious and holy perfect number.
11 is disorder. It's incomplete.
(1) Israel suffered for 40 years because they stayed on the 11th instead of the 12th (Deuteronomy 1:2).
(2) Fill in the empty spot of Jesus' disciple Judas Iscariot (Acts 1:26).
13 is the number of rebellion and apostasy. It's an ominous sign.
(Genesis 14:4) - They served Chedorla Omer twelve years, and then they betrayed them in the thirteenth year.
Today's text tells us that Jesus fed the 5,000 people with five barley loaves and two fish, and then gathered what was left over in twelve baskets. I believe that the blessing of twelve baskets, the theme of this March morning rally, will be with me in my life, family, church, and our nation.
The things written in the text, the basket
(1) It shows that God's power, which started with very little, can do very great things. Barley rice cake (5) fish (2) = (7), male (5,000) female, child = 12 baskets left after eating all.
(2) It refers to the abundance of the kingdom of God. Our life is a life of the poor, a life lacking, and a life we cannot afford just like the disciples did. But the Lord is rich and my Father is rich (Luke 15:17).
(3) It continues to increase when distributed. Instead of piling up food like a mountain heap, the bread and meat increased as the disciples distributed them. It was not that the widow of Salemdi poured oil on top of it, but the empty bottle was filled with oil as she poured it.
(2 Kings 4:3-5) - Then he said, "Go outside, borrow a vessel from all your neighbors, and ask for an empty vessel, but do not ask a little, but you and your two sons, go in, close the door, and pour oil into all the vessels as they are filled." After going back and closing the door with his two sons, they brought a vessel to him, and he poured it out.
We cannot fill twelve baskets at once. As we continue to pray, as we continue to be faithful. As I continue to have faith, my basket will be filled one by one and my spirit will be filled one by one.
(4) The twelve baskets are indeed a great promise. Isn't my panjourri still an empty basket, isn't it a bride who is wandering because of lack of oil (Matthew 25:8) Isn't it a sounding copper and a resounding popsicle (1 Corinthians 13:1) Let's fill the basket of grace with grace. Let's fill the basket of faith with faith. Let us fill the basket of the Holy Spirit with the Holy Spirit. Let's fill the basket of the Word with the Word, let's fill the baskets of heaven and earth with blessings.
Our people, our country, our wrongs are still empty. Only the sound is noisy. Twelve baskets must be filled to fulfill the mission of the age of spreading the gospel to Asia and the whole world.
(5) The Lord made bread become bread and meat into meat. He made the poor bread, the shabby bread, the little bread, the bread and meat that were nothing more than a lunch box, and many people had leftovers. The Lord calls me, the sinful me, the weak me, the Mary-like and Peter-like me to do great things and great things. If you entrust it to the Lord, if you come to the Lord, the Lord will not throw it away and use it as it is, but let us fill the twelve baskets.
(6) The Lord prayed.
Today, at the right hand of God, he prays for me, like a loaf of barley and a small fish. victorious life. Let's pray for a life of power, a healthy life, and a person of God. This era is not the problem. I am the problem. If I get down on my knees and pray, and if I ask for and receive grace, the miracle of the five diseases can still be seen.
Let's fill the twelve baskets day by day. Let's fill the time.
