Title: Two Kinds of Salvation
Contents
Just as man was created with flesh and spirit, God's people also have people of the flesh and people of the spirit. There are two types of people of salvation in the Bible.
1. People of Israel in the Old Testament
2. I am a Christian.
1. God who saves orthodox Israel in the last days
7:4, various interpretations of 'the 144,000 sealed'
First, these people are God's people, but they do not refer to Christians. If these are the saints of the New Testament, a group in white clothes appears soon afterward, and the appearance of those who appear in front is very different from those shown before. Therefore, the 12 tribes of Israel are not Christians (9).
Second, it is impossible to subdivide the Gentile Christians into 12 tribes and carefully record the names of those tribes. There is no reason to describe Gentile Christians as long as they list the names of the 12 tribes of the Jews.
Third, the 12 tribes of Israel are said to receive the seal of God, and in the Bible, Christian believers are said to receive the seal of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 1:13 “In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.”
Fourth, the Bible specifically prophesied that Israel would be saved during tribulation.
Romans 11:25-26 “I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brethren, so that you may not be wise in yourselves, which is that Israel has hardened in part, until the fulness of the Gentiles has come in. shall be saved, as it is written, A deliverer will come from Zion, and will turn ungodliness from Jacob.'
Fifth, in the midst of the Great Tribulation, the refuge of orthodox Jews to some earthly shelter is shown (see commentary on 12:13-17).
Sixth, although it is a number that symbolizes the same people of God as the 144,000 in Chapter 14, Chapter 14 is now a generic term for all spiritual and physical people of God.
And for the salvation of the faithful orthodox Jews
7:5-8, There is a difference in the names of the 12 tribes of Israel and their order.
The reason that Manasseh and Joseph were included in place of the tribes of Dan and Ephraim in verse 6 is believed to be because Jeroboam king of Israel worshiped idols with golden calves in the Old Testament times.
Judges 18:30 "The children of Dan set up the carved image for themselves, and Jonathan the son of Gershon the son of Moses, and his descendants, became priests of the tribe of Dan, until the day the people were taken into captivity." 1 Kings 12:28 "So the plan And he made two golden calves and said to the crowds, You have no more going up to Jerusalem; these are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. You put one in Bethel and the other in Dan.”
So Manasseh, Joseph's eldest son, is listed. The reason why the tribe of Judah was recorded first is because it was prophesied that the Messiah would be born from the tribe of Judah in the sense of redemptive history. Each tribe is '12,000', so 12X1,000=12,000
2. The vision of a Christian who will be saved from tribulation
Unlike Israel, they are people from each nation, and they appear as people holding palm branches that symbolize salvation and victory.
7:9-10, 'every nation, tribe, people, and tongue' refers to the peoples of all parts of the world. It means a multitude of 'uncountable', 'white clothes', and purity of faith. 'Palm branches', the victory of faith. 'Before the throne' is the seat of God, and 'the Lamb' is Jesus Christ.
7:11-13, 'all angels', these are the many angels who protected and kept the saints in the last days.
'One of the elders' is one of the 24 elders. He asks John, 'Where did the large crowd in white robes standing with palm branches come from?' He specifically asked 'who are they and where they came from.' You will be able to confirm that they are different people.
7:14, 'those who come out of the great tribulation', the great tribulation is the great tribulation of the last days. As 'the great tribulation' has an article, it means the special tribulation of the last days. Those who came out of the great tribulation, and those who came out of the tribulation, did not mean that they were raptured, but that they passed through the tribulation because it has the meaning of 'passing through' and 'coming'. When you say passing the exam period, it is the same as saying that after taking the exam.
7:15-17, they speak of God's people who will be comforted, protected and loved. We always live under protection, but we must have faith, especially in times of trouble. On that day, your faith will be strengthened with special grace, and God's protection will work powerfully.
3. Basically, it is the same as spiritual salvation and physical grace coming to the saints.
The salvation vision of Israel and the salvation of Christians through tribulation have the same meaning as both physical and spiritual salvation in personal salvation. ,Spiritual salvation is based on the principle of eternal life salvation through Jesus Christ.
Because of this, God will still protect Israel and help them in the last days, and those who believe in Jesus will help them, but first strengthen them spiritually so that they can overcome tribulation and persecution.
The new covenant is the amazing fact that the atonement and resurrection of eternal life for the next life were introduced to Gentiles and acquired through the coming of Jesus. The Jews still admit only a few percent and remain unconverted, but they will repent a lot during the tribulation and return.
Although Jesus came and fulfilled the law, we cannot ignore Israel, who were chosen as God's people. We came to know and believe in God the one and only Creator through Jesus Christ, but Israel believed and knew the God we believed in even in the law through their ancestors from an early age.
It is simply that they have not accepted Jesus. However, history has shown that Israel is still a special people when it comes to receiving physical protection. Therefore, I believe that He will protect their bodies even in the last days.
Just because you believe in Jesus and change your view of history with the mind of the Spirit, you should not live with a dualistic mindset like the Gnostics, but rather reveal the glory in the body of the glass.
As such, there is no reason to ignore Israel, who became God's people as a visible people who were originally chosen. Rather, we take it as a nation of historical evidence to understand God's continued grace in their history.
