The most important thing in a person's life is money. Most things can be done with money. So people do their best to make money. But some people try to make money through immoral means. In a way, money is an absolute existence in this world, and its power is as great as a god who can't do anything.
2 Timothy 3:2 says, “In the last days, people will love money.” But keep in mind.
Money is an object of management, a means of bartering, and a standard of valuation, but never an object of love.
In today's verse, Jesus said that we cannot serve both God and money. 1 Timothy 6:10 says, “The love of money is the root of all evil… ” He warned against becoming arrogant and greedy because of money. Moreover, it is sad to see cases where people give up their faith and fail because they are stingy while leading a life of faith that is directly related to the problem of eternal life.
In Germany, the birthplace of theology, many churches are not willing to give donations. It is that the church has neglected to give what it owns because it is rented with a lot of real estate under the protection of the state. It is very suggestive that German theology has also changed from conservative theology to liberation theology, liberty theology, and socialist theology in the postmodern era in a climate that does not give its own.
“Two masters” in today’s text 6:24 means a clash between the Hebrew ideology, which serves God as its master, and the Chaldean ideology, which serves material as its master. The Chaldean people were the birthplace of Abraham and boasted of the best civilization and learning that spoke the Chaldean language.
Which one are you? Are you on God's side? Are you on the material side? Which side do you want to stand on, sheep or goats, those who are blessed or those who mourn? The answer is clear. We are blessed as children of God.
There is only one owner, God. Today's title is two masters, but we have only one master, God. Like the bats in Aesop's fables, a life that sticks to itself will eventually be abandoned. We have only one Almighty God, who created the heavens and the earth. The God who created us and gave us life, who also provides us with eternal life, is our only God.
Let's confess together. “Only God is our master”
The country we live in is also important. But the eternal kingdom of God is more important.
The culture of this land is also important. But the righteousness of the kingdom of God is more important.
So Jesus said, “What shall we eat? what to wear Seek his kingdom and his righteousness before any work” (Matthew 6:33). This means to seek spiritual things. “You are not the offspring of Adam, the living spirit, but the redeemed of Jesus Christ, the last Adam, the life-giving spirit.” Because man is a living spirit, he wants to live, and to live, he wants to preserve his body, gain a lot of knowledge, and gain a higher status or honor to make his life more prosperous. However, no matter how strong your body is, you cannot live forever, so you have to live a good life of faith for the sake of your soul.
Because Jesus Christ is a life-giving Spirit, life after this world can be guaranteed. That is why all life must meet, believe, and receive Jesus Christ. When my body meets Jesus as my Savior and substitute, I will be able to live forever in another world on the day this world ends.
Therefore, you should not spend money just for the body, but do your best in the spiritual life of faith for the soul. This is a real blessing. Whether rich or poor, we must love God more than material things. Even if I try to earn more, if I give it with the joy of giving more to God than I do to become wealthy, then God is the Lord. A believer who is the master of God has the right to rule over material things as a person who has received spiritual blessings.

Which do you love more, money or God? Which one is more important? Which side is your heart on? I pray that you are on God's side. In the Bible, the word “curse” refers to a spiritual curse before the loss of wealth. In other words, it means that the spiritual authority has been lost. Therefore, I pray that you will be filled with the blessing of spiritual abundance by rejecting the stinginess toward God and surrendering your heart and material to God, and I pray that you will become wise saints who accumulate the treasures of the world in the granaries of heaven.
