Title: Two people receiving each other

two people cheating on each other
Genesis 31 21-42
It is because of human greed that people deceive and be deceived. Laban deceived the king of Jacob ten times.
Between Jacob and Laban, the question of who would benefit more became a source of tension between the two.
It became the content of the story.
Laban has much to say, and Jacob has much to say. They are cheating on each other, but they have a lot to say to each other.
This is because humans do not look at their own mistakes, but look at the faults of others.
People who think they've been harmed always think of what they've been harmed, not what they've done to others. If you look inside the church, you do not see yourself receiving approval, and you say that you do not acknowledge yourself. If you don't give yourself a job, you only think about your own sense of harm and hate, criticize, and complain instead of understanding.
Look at verses 21-22.
Without Laban, Jacob and his family run away. Jacob's life is always a life of running away in secret.
At first, even Rachel and Leah were against it. No matter how bad his father is, who has a child who will be happy if he curses his father? Jacob explains to these two wives and leaves the house.
After three days of Jacob's fugitive life, it is known to Laban. These three days are the reason in Genesis 30:36 that Laban did not give sheep and goats to Jacob, but instead gave sheep and goats with spots to his son, and kept a distance of three days, so the news was delivered to Laban late . What we learn here is that you reap what you sow.
Laban, who heard this news, must have been angry because he didn't reflect on what he had done to Jacob, but only thought about what he had done wrong to him and was saddened by it. It was just that he thought it was quite serious to deceive himself.
So he goes after Jacob. see verse 23
This is a statement that shows how angry Laban was. Even if Laban chased after the news after three days had passed, the fact that he arrived at the place where Jacob was in seven days, even though it was not common sense to follow him, proves that Laban continued to pursue him without sleep.
Look at verse 24.
Laban found Jacob and did not attack him immediately.
