Title: The wise man's two petitions

There is a difference in what each person asks for, and the level of request varies according to the maturity of faith. We must learn the wisdom of prayer through the prayers of David, Solomon, or Jabez. For example, it is much wiser to pray not to pray for healing, but to pray that God will allow you to do God's work. It is much more beautiful to pray that you will be able to help others as much as you want than to pray that you will become rich. It is more beautiful to pray for more tithing than to pray for more money. Don't pray that you will be made high, but pray that you will be honored. As Solomon sought wisdom, wealth and glory naturally followed.
What are the two prayers of Agur the wise?
1. Keep away from me vainness and lies
It is a heart that wants a pure and pure heart. Honesty is fundamental to God. If anyone's honesty is broken, he will distance himself from God.
It is a prayer of determination to live a true life. If there is a way to live closest to God, it is to purify your heart.
It is a prayer that realizes the standard of true value. You can see the heart that earnestly prays for the inner life rather than the outer life.
2. Feed me with the food I need
This is the correct perception of material. The right perception of material is the image of the mature faith of the saints. All things come from the Lord and return to the Lord. The reason Agur hates poverty is because he fears that he will sin before God. Because they are so poor that they can commit sins because of their greed for material things. If you are poor, you should receive help rather than helping others, so believers must receive this kind of grace from God. Don't be rich, and if poverty is not a sin, then wealth cannot be a sin either. However, it is because, like poverty, there are many factors that can give birth to sin as well as wealth. Jesus said that it is harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven than it is for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. Wealth can make people proud and sometimes arrogant. It is the attitude of a self-sufficient life. A good Christian is self-sufficient.
The center of this supplication of the wise man is to live a “God-centered life.”
The life of a believer must have a strong will for a God-centered life, so that God is pleased and blessed with a prosperous life.
