Unbearable grace (Luke 5:1-11)

Peter, who was a fine fisherman in the Sea of Galilee, spent all night with his friends.

The nets were lowered, but none were caught.

Shame and disappointment while washing their nets, Jesus drove the crowd

He came and preached in Peter's boat.

Then he told Peter to go out into the deep and let down their nets for a catch.

Relying on the word, the nets were lowered, and many fish were caught until the nets were torn.

1. What kind of grace can you not bear?

1) It is a blessing to receive so that the net is torn.

This year, we too must receive this grace and bear fruit to the point where the branches are torn.

In addition, the blessing of eating according to the labor of one's hands, the blessing that comes naturally, the blessings freely given and the accumulation of

You must receive the blessing of pouring out so that there is no place.

2) It is a blessing to receive the unexpected and overflowing with resentment.

Had I expected, I would have lowered the net with a friend from the start.

I didn't expect it at all, but the fish caught enough to tear the net, so I called a friend

I received the grace to fill my friend's stomach.

3) It is a double blessing even though you do not deserve it.

If you obeyed the word and caught a huge fish, then you dare to fall down under Jesus' lap

There is no reason to say, “Leave me, for I am a sinner”.

Although he does not know Peter's inner heart, he is disobedient to Jesus, who has made him ashamed.

Perhaps they cast their nets against the Word with their thoughts.

4) It is the blessing of being called as God's co-workers.

Peter worked as a fisherman with his friends for the sake of the flesh.

However, after meeting Jesus, we worked together with Jesus as a co-worker of God.

2. Who will receive grace beyond what they can afford?

1) You are a failure in the world.

2) A person who actively responds to the Word.

Peter said, “By the word, I will let down the nets.”

Here, the word ‘will’, ‘ejpiv’, means on, near, near, etc.

It has a meaning and also has the meaning of 'against'.

Even if you have a heart that opposes God's Word when it doesn't fit your will

You must respond as you say.

3) A person who lowers the net into the deep.

the deep

① A world I don't know

② A world I have never experienced

③ The field where the word of God is proclaimed

④ It is the spiritual world where the Holy Spirit works.

3. What if I receive grace that I can't afford?

1) Receive the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:1~11)

2) Receive the gift of healing. (Acts 3:6~7, Acts 5:15~16)

3) Even the dead receive the power to raise them up. (Acts 9:36~40)

4) You will receive the power to bear witness to the Word (Acts 3:12~4:14).

2012 was the best year of my life as I received grace from God that I could not afford.

I bless you in the name of the Lord.
