Title: Unless He Keeps His Faith?

Contents

We are justified freely through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins, and for our justification we have been saved without merit through faith in the power of God who raised Christ from the dead for our justification. Any salvation received without merit will be in vain.

When Jesus was on earth, he said to Simon, "...you are Simon son of John, and you will call him Cephas." Even Simon, who was given in advance, could not keep his faith by himself until he turned from the flesh to the spirit. If you do not break free from the flesh, you are still a child in Christ, so you may fall from the faith, shipwreck from the faith, or depart from the faith.

Therefore, Jesus said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has asked you to sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith will not fail. After you are converted, strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31-32) This is what He said.

In the gospel, the righteousness of God, which is Christ, is revealed, and it is accomplished by faith through faith. He is the author and finisher of our faith, but he helps our weakness and makes intercession for us, but our faith is ours, because it is the treasure that God has given us through Christ, so he tests and tests us.

For this reason, the Bible testifies about the trials of faith, saying, “You know that the trial of your faith produces patience” (James 1:3), and also, “The trial of your faith is more precious than gold, which perishes even though it is tried by fire. that he may receive praise, glory, and honor at the appearing of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:7).

For this reason, the Bible teaches us how to keep the faith and says, “Have faith and a good conscience, for some have abandoned this conscience, and concerning their faith they are shipwrecked” (1 Timothy 1:19).

If you do not have a good conscience in your faith, this faith will boast of righteousness and salvation, despise all people, harbor a very evil spirit, and eventually shipwreck from that faith.

Regarding this, the Bible says, "...The Holy Spirit clearly says that in the latter days some will turn away from the faith and turn to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. They are liars with hypocrisy, whose conscience has been scorched" (1 Timothy 4:4). 1-2) is also a warning.

Also, concerning those who depart from the faith, the Bible warns, “The love of money is the root of all evil, and those who long for it have been deceived, and have erred from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows” (1 Timothy 6:10).

This is because all of these people cannot change from the flesh to the spirit and remain in the flesh. Therefore, the Bible says, “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh to live according to the flesh. Son of God” (Romans 8:12-14).

Someone said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; from now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day, not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing. to them” (2 Timothy 4:7-8). This is the person who was taken to the third heaven.

This Paul testified, “Brothers, imitate me together, and show those who do as we set an example” (Philippians 3:17) and again, “He who spoke the word of God to you and guided you. Think of them, watch the end of their deeds, and imitate their faith” (Hebrews 13:7).

But he said, "... it is by the grace of God that I am who I am, and his grace that was given to me was not in vain. I labored more than all the apostles, but it was not I, but the grace of God that was with me" (1 Corinthians 15:10). ) testified.

Today, imitating this person's faith... Thank you, Lord.
