Title: Unprofitable Servant (Luke 17:10)

Title: Useless Paper
The way a person lives depends on what kind of consciousness he or she has.
After people of faith meet and believe in Jesus, in a word, they live with the status of servants who have Jesus as their master.
(Romans 1:1) Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, was called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God.
(James 1:1) James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, greets the twelve tribes that are scattered.
(2 Peter 1:1) Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received the same precious faith as us through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
(Jude 1:1) Judas, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who have been loved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ:
They all say that they are servants of Jesus.
Why did they live such a life with such a confession?
(Isaiah 43:1) Now the LORD who created you speaks, O Jacob, now says the one who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.
(Titus 2:14) He gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify us, that we might become a people zealous for good works.
Christ gave his body to buy us, who would become the people of hell.
We are the people who bought us with blood, who bought us so that we could be in a glorious position, not as slaves to rob us.
In this way, today we have been redeemed through Jesus Christ, so as those who have been redeemed, I hope that we will know what kind of attitude we need and live a worthy life.
It means that we too live with the consciousness of a servant.
1. Paper, first of all, has no ownership.
(1 Corinthians 6:19) Don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not yours.
(1 Corinthians 6:20) Since it was bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body.
He has nothing, but even his life is not his.
Because of that, I can't even die on my own.
Their talents, of course, even if they have children, become theirs.
Everything belongs to the owner, nothing is mine.
When you have this kind of heart, your faith will grow and you will live a blessed life.
But what do we think?
I claim that everything I have is mine, and I will pray to God to receive more blessings and make God's things mine.
But you definitely need to know.
Everything belongs to God.
I have none of mine.
Do you think I did something?
Even if I have expressed an opinion, it is only because the Lord has revealed it through me.
Also, even if I spoke the word, the Lord was working through my lips.
It's not like I didn't do any of that.
So, what is the text saying today? I just did what I was supposed to do.
That's right.
It's nothing special, it just did what it was supposed to do.
I have no possessions of material, talent, or even myself. This is the form of a servant, and this is the servant's consciousness.
2. A servant is absolutely obedient.
It's not about asking why, when, where, and how.
If you go, you go, if you come, you come.
Even in bad weather with heavy rain, the bell has no reason.
If you look at today's text, you'll come back after working hard all day.
So now I am hungry and tired.
But the owner said again that he prepared the food, and while I was eating, he served as an attendant and told me to eat after running errands.
The servant has no right to reason or judge in this way.
If the owner is tending the sheep, he will tend the sheep, and if he plows the field, he has to plow the field.
Even if you work all day and come back, if you have to work again, you have to do it.
There is no refusal, just staying up all night.
What complaints and questions do you have here?
When we serve the Lord with this kind of heart, we have faith, and that faith will grow.
Compared to this, we have too many things to cover up and follow.
That is why we need to know that our faith does not grow.
If you really want your faith to grow, you must have absolute obedience to the Lord and absolute trust.
At that time, the word of the master is empowered in the servant, and it produces power in the servant.
A servant has no wisdom. However, if you do what the master has given you wisely, you will become a wise person.
Also, the servant has no powers. However, when you do what the master tells you to do, there is power.
3. Now, the third characteristic of a species is that there is no reward.
Workers who do the work are paid in return.
But there is no reward for the servant.
Not only that, but this species doesn't even say a word of thanks.
Even if there is no reward, I should know it, but it is not.
Aren't they complaining that everyone doesn't know in the end?
But those who really have a servant's heart don't want to know.
So don't be discouraged.
Why are we discouraged?
I am willing to receive some.
At first, you want to give, but later you want to receive. At first, you say that you will give unconditionally, but then you give as a condition.
It is said that the heart of a person changes from time to time, but the heart to go and the heart to come are very different.
That's why I didn't do it when I started to work hard, but since I've done it quite a bit, I'm just saying that it deserves a good response, or at least a compliment.
But faith cannot grow with that heart.
Rather, Jesus said the opposite.
It says that because you are chosen to do God's work, the world will of course hate you and persecute you.
Moreover, since they persecuted me first, they will also persecute you. Therefore, if you become my disciples, it is natural to be persecuted.
The important thing is that nonetheless, there is a promise that blessed are those who are persecuted and the kingdom of heaven is ours.
Therefore, this is the servant and slave of Jesus Christ, with no reward and no remuneration.
In any case, those who live with a pure heart that does not ask for praise or remuneration at all have the power of faith.
Here's a fitting analogy.
A missionary in China was washed away in a flood.
At that time, a certain Chinese man rescued this missionary.
The missionary was so thankful that I would remember this grace for the rest of my life, so I asked him to teach me his name.
Then the man chuckled and said, "Good Samaritan Sarah, has a name? If so, I'll tell you my name." Then he walked away.
The servant does not expect any reward. I just do what I ought to do.
4. The servant has no complaints.
Tiredness, complaints, and resentment do not work at all.
There is only absolute duty and absolute obedience. Time, place, and personality do not matter.
Guys, I'm not saying it's hard. If you do it until you die, then you die.
I am not saying that doing God's work is difficult.
There have already been numerous martyrdoms before us working for the name of the Lord.
If so, wouldn't our death be martyrdom or martyrdom?
Therefore, those who do God's work should not have the heart to say anything or complain about anything.
This is the heart of a subdued servant.
But remember.
When we live with the consciousness of a servant, God, the Lord, does not turn away from us.
He provides our clothing, food and drink in due season.
He protects.
We did not ask for a reward, but God the Lord says this.
(Matthew 16:27) The Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and at that time will he give to each one according to what he has done.
Today, you servants of Jesus of Christ!
Let's live with this attitude in memory of the glory that made me a glorious servant of the kingdom of God.
(Rev 2:10) Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
