Title: Unshakable Life

▒▒ Bible : Psalm 16:1~8

No matter how much the world changes, there are some things we must not change. We believe that filial piety and respect for parents should not change, love between husband and wife should not change, and our faith in God should always remain unchanging.

While studying the Old Testament, we talk a lot about Babylon, but in fact, Babylon did not exist on this earth for long in the history of mankind. In 612 B.C., a nation called Babylon was established in the Middle East, and it was destroyed in 539 B.C., and existed only for 73 years in the history of this earth. Only 40 to 50 years after Israel was taken into captivity in Babylon, Babylon fell, and then a nation called Media came to dominate. Dominate the Middle East.

In the midst of this urgent change of situation, Daniel was used as a very important figure in Babylon, and was used as a prime minister during the Medes and Persian domination. It was Daniel, who was used as an important and unchanging person in a changing world.

The reason why I have been used without changing like this is because I have lived without change according to the Bible. We kept the foods we should eat and the foods we shouldn't eat. No matter how delicious and fatty the food was, I never ate the food the Bible said not to eat.

King Nebuchadnezzar made his own golden statue and said, “When the bell of the golden statue rings, bow down to the golden statue on the road if you don’t bow down, and you throw it into the furnace.” Despite the command, Daniel did not bow down to idols. Daniel also prayed three times a day. “If you pray, you will be thrown into the lions’ den.” Despite this, Daniel continued his prayer life until the end without changing the prayer he offered to God three times a day.

As he kept his faith and kept his faith, he faced various difficulties and dangers, but it can be seen that he continued to be used as the prime minister as a noble figure in Babylon, Media, and Persia.

On the other hand, Israel's first king, Saul, ascended to the throne and served God well at first. But after that, Saul turns away from God and lives according to his own stubbornness. Then Samuel said to King Saul, "O king, God has forsaken you, because you have rejected the word of God." is saying The Bible clearly states that God abandoned King Saul, who was changed along the way without ever having the right faith. It is not a faith that is wavering like this, it is not a faith that goes one way, but when you have a wave of faith, you can see the end result in such a miserable way.

Dear brothers and sisters, I hope that you will become many of us who diligently walk the one road toward the Lord without wavering. Like Daniel, I pray in the name of the Lord that our lives will be praised and rewarded when we stand before God by walking hard on one road.

How can we walk this one road correctly? Prophet Amos did not waver in the midst of any difficulties and persecutions, but he said, 'I became a prophet who prophesies the word of God today. ' was a clear sense of calling.

What we must keep in our hearts today is that God has established us here, not man. “Being who I am, I believe that the clear call that God has established me must be firmly engraved in our hearts.” This is the core of our faith, and it must flow to the bottom of our faith. “The Lord is among us, and I will not be moved.” I pray in the name of the Lord that this will become our confession of faith.

Looking at the past of the Apostle Paul, there is a proud past and a shameful past. But Paul said that he threw away all his boastful things like excrement. Also, the Apostle Paul says, “I have forgotten what is behind me,” which means that I have forgotten the shameful past. Even the past that took the lead in executing Stephen, the man who persecuted the church, was abandoned. Ladies and gentlemen, I believe that the important thing for us to walk on is that, as the Apostle Paul said, you should put away your glorious past and your shameful past and walk toward the Lord in front of you right now.

What's the secret to our persistent and unwavering journey? It is about faithfully taking on the tasks set before us. When we faithfully carry out the tasks entrusted to us today, I believe that we will be walking the right path, the one path of unwavering pilgrims. Then we will receive the blessing before God saying, “Since I was faithful in small things, I will entrust you with big things.” I hope that the members of the Hanshin Church will diligently follow the one path Jesus walked, as he said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.” I bless you in the name of the Lord to become walking saints.
