Title: Unstoppable Fruit! / John 15:1-11
Fruits that never stop! / John 15:1-11
Today's reading is the parable of the vine. “I am the true vine, and my father is a farmer. I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man abides in me, and I remain in him, he bears much fruit. You can do nothing apart from me.” (John 15:1,5) Jesus Christ defined His followers as the branches of the vine. This means that the relationship between Christians and Jesus Christ is a vital relationship. Even if it is only 1mm away, the life of that branch cannot exist. The secret to living and bearing fruit as a branch of Christians is only to be attached to Christ. Now, let us consider the history of the fruit produced in a living relationship.
The first is to believe in Jesus Christ.
Since all have sinned, mankind has nothing but the terrible punishment of judgment. But God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins and take up the cross to pay for our sins. Therefore, whoever believes in him will be saved. By accepting Jesus Christ by faith, God and us were grafted into God, the source of life.
“That’s right. The branches were cut because of their unbelief, and each of you is stuck in its place because you believed. Therefore, do not be arrogant, but be afraid.” (Romans 11:20) There is only one thing that can be grafted into a true olive tree because of faith.
The second is a life of prayer.
The third is the work of the Holy Spirit.
When a branch is attached to the vine, the life essence is constantly supplied from the tree, and the branch bears fruit in due time. The essence of this life is the work of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that the Lord Jesus promised us when He died and rose again and lived for 40 days before ascending into heaven. Therefore, our life of faith is possible only when we receive the grace of the Holy Spirit. Without the grace of the Holy Spirit, it is like a branch that is not supplied with the essence of life and cannot bear fruit. The Holy Spirit, the Comforter sent by the Lord, comes into us and never leaves us for a moment. He reveals the glory of Jesus Christ by working in our lives.
Finally, a confession of faith.
This faith is not a saving faith, but a working faith. Faith that moves mountains! Faith that you will answer whatever you ask! It is the faith of the warriors of faith in Hebrews 11. God helps us to win with this faith while we live in this world. Only this belief that God is with us keeps us bearing the fruit of victory. David speaks boldly when he goes out to Goliath. You come out relying on a spear, a sword, and a javelin, but I go forward only relying on God. David is not at all afraid of Goliath. David did not think that he was standing before Goliath, but that God was ahead. It was believed to be a battle between God and Goliath. And the victory of that battle was the victory of God. God fought directly for David who went out with faith in God who fought for me. you won
By receiving Jesus Christ, we will connect with the Lord of life, pray in the name of the Lord, be filled with the Holy Spirit and be supplied with spiritual power every day.
