Title: Unstoppable Running (Phil 03:12-14)
Content Standing on the threshold of the year setting, anyone can look back on the year that has passed. If you think about it, like a lazy student who falls asleep without completing his homework, we have another year to go with pending assignments. But you don't have to give up or get frustrated too easily. Because after all, our life is an “unstoppable run” here.
How can I be a winner in this run
First, we need attachment to life (verse 12).
“Not that I have already obtained it, nor that it has been perfected, but I go after that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” No matter what your life has been up to now, this is the attitude of a victor, the attitude of running towards a better tomorrow.
Second, we must forget what we forget (verse 13).
“I did not consider myself to have grasped it, but did one thing forgetting what is behind and grabbing what is in front of me.” We must forget the obstacles to moving forward. 1) Good things in the past 2) Bad things in the past 3) Bad things in the past Forgetting the burdensome things behind your emotions makes you a winner.
Third, we need clear goals and rules (verse 14).
“I am running toward the goal for the reward of the right calling of God in Christ Jesus.” A race without goals is meaningless, and a race without rules fails. Our goal is Christ, and the rule of life is the Word of God.
Fourth, we must push it (verse 14).
The word 'follow' in the text means 'Press on' in English. No matter how difficult it is, no matter what obstacles there are, only those who push through with faith can win.
Beloved saints of Bethel! After 95 years, we continue to run vigorously towards 1996. Our goal is Christ, and our rule is the Word. I bless you all who have the passion of life, forget what is behind, and push forward with faith to achieve the glory of the final victory promised by the Lord.
