Braga Valley of Songchuk
2 Chronicles 20:20-28
The Valley of Braga is the gathering place of the allied forces (the Moabites, Ammonites, and Maonites) who came against Judah, and it is a place of tribulation and trouble that threatens the people of Judah.
fears, worries, and worries. This is the valley that gave me. However, this valley has been turned into a valley of Songchuk. We want to be a time to receive grace by examining the story of how this mysterious history took place.
Looking at the before and after of the text
<2 Chronicles 20:22,23> ““At the beginning of the song and the hymn, the LORD set an ambush against the Ammonites, Moab, and the Mount Seir, who came against Judah, and they were defeated.”
23> ““In other words, Ammon and the children of Moab rose up and struck and destroyed the inhabitants of Mount Seir, and after they had destroyed the inhabitants of Seir, they slaughtered one another.”
King Jehoshaphat
King Jehosabeth of Judah, desperate with fear and trembling, looking at the ranks of the Allied Forces in front of him, looked back on his sin and the cause of this war, and realized two important facts, and all the nations gathered before God to fast and pray, and God prepared They mobilized their ambush to slaughter each other, and the Jewish people won victory by wearing holy clothes and singing praises to God without raising a sword.
Looking at this historical event, we realize what God wants us to do, and we pray that our situation in this age, like the Valley of Braga, where we are trembling with fear and fear, like Judah, in front of the Allied Forces of Moab, will become the Braga Valley of joy and happiness. Bless you in the name of the Lord.
1 King Jehoshaphat looked after himself first and fasted and prayed.
King Jehosabeth was the one who feared to take the lead, and before responding with strength to the Allied forces of Moab, the Jews who had come to God first gathered together to fast and pray.
Why was King Jehoshaphat afraid?
<2 Chronicles 20:10> Once upon a time, when Israel came out of the land of Egypt, you did not tolerate the violence of the Ammonites, the Moabites, and the Mount Seir, so you turned away from them and did not destroy them.
11> “”Now see what they pay us. They are coming to drive us out of your inheritance, which you have given us.”
what he was afraid of
First, he was not afraid because of the military power of the Allied Forces, but because of his own sins.
<2 Chronicles 20:33> ““The high places were not abolished, so the people had made up their minds and did not return to the God of their ancestors.”
35> ““Jehoshaphat king of Judah later had an association with Ahaziah king of Israel, and Ahaziah was a very wicked man.””
It was because he was concerned that the previous day, he had not resisted the request of the idolatrous King Ahab, and had allied with Israel to go to war.
Second, and at the time of the Exodus from Egypt, the Moabites and Ammonites, who had been defeated by Israel in these wilderness wars, came in with full preparations for a retaliatory attack and attacked, making it even more terrifying and painful.
Therefore, he had no choice but to seek God's help.
So, before the war, King Jehosabeth had to look at himself first, repent, fast, and pray.
2) King Jehoshaphat completely depended on God and prayed earnestly.
<2 Chronicles 20:12> ““Our God, do you not punish them? We have no power against this great crowd that comes against us, and we do not know what to do; but we look to you. and""
13> ““Everyone of Judah stood before the LORD, with his wife and children and little ones.””
King Jehoshaphat confessed to God to remind them that the land they were living in was the land that God had given to Israel as an inheritance. When they were in affliction, when they suffered hardship, or when they sinned, God said that if they pray in the court of the Lord, He will hear them. I prayed for the promise of
We called all the people of Judah, even palms and children, and set them up before God. The Allied forces of Moab are against us, and we have no power to fight against us. He confesses that he is completely dependent on God.
God, who heard this prayer, worked.
And God fought for us and changed the valley of tribulation into the valley of song-chuk.
Hallelujah!!
3) King Jehoshaphat urged the people to trust in God.
As we gathered in the temple courtyard to pray, the Levite prophet Jahaziel received a revelation and prophesied.
<2 Chronicles 20:15> “Do not be afraid or be dismayed because of this great crowd, for this war is not yours, but God’s. In this war you have nothing to fight, the LORD, who has been standing in line with you, will save you. Behold, Judah and Jerusalem, do not be afraid and do not be dismayed; go out to meet them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.”
The next day, King Jehoshaphat believed God's revelation through the prophet Jahaziel and decided to go to war, and stood before his people (Judah) and proclaimed.
[2 Chronicles 20:20] “Hear me, you inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem. Trust in the LORD your God, and you will be established; trust in the prophet, and you will prosper.”
And in verse 20, ""---Trust in the LORD your God, and you will be established; trust in the prophet, and you will prosper."
I told him to trust in Jehovah, and then he told me to trust the prophet.
In other words, trust God who speaks through the prophet.
No matter what the actual situation is, it is the blessing of changing the valley of tribulation into the valley of Braga to those who trust in God's Word.
4) King Jehoshaphat gave thanks to God.
<2 Chronicles 20:21> ""He consulted with the people, and chose singers, clothed in holy robes, and walked before the army, praising the LORD, saying, 'Thank the LORD, for his mercy endures forever.'"
When King Jehoshaphat went to war with the people of Judah and Israel, he did not go out wearing military uniforms and carrying weapons, but wearing holy robes and going out before the Allied Forces, praising God, and believing that the God who had guided and protected them until now would make this war a victory. He thanked them and said that his mercy would be extended to them forever.
In this way, trusting in God, believing in God's word, and singing praises with thanksgiving will transform the Braga Valley of Tribulation into the Braga Valley of Song and Chuk.
Everyone!
In the field of our lives today, is there the valley of Braga of tribulation, where we are flooded with fears, dreadful worries, and troubles?
Look back on yourself, trust in God, put on your holy robes and go before him, praising God, thanking God, and proclaiming his mercy endures forever.
The blessing of changing the Braga Valley of Tribulation into the Braga Valley of Song and Chuk will be given.
Man cannot do it, but God can.
God will turn it into a valley of Songchuk.
God's ways are endlessly sluggish.
Look at King Jehoshaphat. He looked at himself and fasted and prayed.
Looking back means that he repented of his sins by joining hands with a nation that worshiped idols in the past.
And holding on to God's covenant, he prayed and cried out.
I also decided to trust God.
And thanked God.
Do you have a difficult and scary job?
Like King Jehosabeth, look back on our sins, trust in God, pray, praise God, give thanks to God, and proclaim that His mercy endures forever.
If we do that, God will intervene and directly solve the problems that come our way, and God's grace will amazingly transform the Braga Valley of Tribulation into the Braga Valley of Song and Blessing.
This world is like the dreadful and terrifying Valley of Briga, where the allied forces of Moab, Ahab, and Seir are aiming to invade Hoshitamtam wherever you look.
Trust in God, hold on to God's Word, fast, and pray.
In doing so, I pray in the name of the Lord that the blessing of victory that blocks our way and transforms the Braga Valley of fearful and terrifying tribulation into the Braga Valley of joy and mourning comes in the name of the Lord.
