Title: Victory through the Peace of Jesus
There are many entrepreneurs who have succeeded in business but have failed in life. There are also those who become disillusioned with business and the economy by being involved in corruption in an imperfect family or society and by swearing due to illegal management.
We want to be successful and the best in each field, no matter what we do or live. But more importantly, you will have to succeed in life.
Luke 12:16-20 "And he told them in parables, saying, "There was a rich man in his field that yielded abundantly, 17 and he thought in his heart, "What should I do, since I have no place to store grain?"
18“And he said, ‘This is what I will do, and I will tear down my barns and make them bigger, and I will store all my grain and all my goods there.’ 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; rest, eat, drink, and be merry.” 20 But God said, "You fool, tonight your soul will be required of you, then whose will your preparations be?"
Recently, the word “active thinking” has become popular in sermons that explain the gospel in an understandable way, and it is taught as another expression of faith, but the word and the word faith are never different.
In other words, belief and faith are different. Belief is strengthening by controlling one's reason and emotions, and faith is trusting and following God's will regardless of my will.
What is the secret to true victory? In doing so, we learn that we can be victorious with the peace of the Lord Jesus through the words of the text. We ponder the words under the title of victory through the peace of Jesus.
1. There is a secret to peace and victory by clarifying the reason for one's existence
As the Lord tells us about the secret to conquering the world,
28 He said, “I came out of the Father and came into the world; again I leave the world and go to the Father.” These words are important, and they show us the source of Jesus and why we were living and where we were going until we left the earth.
Shaking, suicide, or frustration in life is a phenomenon that occurs when a person does not know who he is, where he comes from, how he lives, and where he will go. When a person has a clear purpose, he will have a strong will to survive no matter what.
Or, if you have any promises entrusted to you by your ancestors, or if you have something you must accomplish like a grudge in the world, you will be strong in all challenges in life.
Among the 12 spies who returned after searching for Canaan, the frustrated voices of those 10 were because they distrusted or forgot the promise of giving the blessing of Israel from their ancestors, the promise of giving Canaan a land flowing with milk and honey. However, Joshua and Caleb remembered God's covenant even under the same circumstances, so they reported in a strong and joyful tone that they were our food.
Even today, if a Christian knows where he is coming from and where he will go and knows how to confess, he will become a conqueror in the world.
It was because of his clear identity that Paul was able to devote himself to preaching the gospel with the power to overcome the world in the midst of a series of tribulations and afflictions.
Phil 3:20 “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 8:18 “I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed in us.”
2 Corinthians 4:18 “It is not what we see, but what we do not see, that we look for, but what is seen is temporary, and what is not seen is eternal.”
The Lord said that he came into this world from the Father and will go back to the Father. He was talking about the source and identity, and he was talking about the hope of going to the Father's kingdom. So should we.
2. We must abide in Jesus to win
Specifically, believing in Jesus and the church life should be the center of life. The secret to overcoming the world is to follow the teachings of the Word and live a faithful life of faith. The world sometimes tempts us as if secularism will triumph and succeed, but in the end the world is a lie. Because the devil is in control.
2 Timothy 3:13 “Evil men and deceivers are getting worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.”
John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and cannot stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. for he is a wretch and has become the father of lies.”
Ephesians 2:2 “In those days you walked in them, following the customs of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience.”
Jesus spent three years proclaiming to the world that he was the Messiah. During that life, there were 12 apostles who were close to me, but they did not comfort the heart of the Lord very much.
Matthew 8:20 "Jesus said, Foxes have dens, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."
But the important thing is that the Lord was never alone.
32 “Behold, the hour is coming, when each of you is scattered to his own place, and when you leave me alone, the hour has already come; but I am not alone; the Father is with me.”
When the Lord was carrying the cross, all the disciples ran away.
But the fact is that the Lord was with the Father.
In the original Greek, the definite article 'ho' is translated into English as the, and when translated directly, it means that the Father is with me, but in the English Bible (NIV), it was translated well as my Father is with me. It says my father is with me.
As the Lord overcomes the world because the Father is with us, so we can overcome the world when the Lord is with us.
33 “I have told you this, that you may find peace in me. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
What is the meaning of the words “In me,” these are the words of becoming a believer in Jesus. Those who believe in Jesus become believers who follow the truth under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
It is not the Jesus that we simply remember or the Jesus we hear in other people's stories, but the truth of Christ is deeply intervened in our daily lives and there is the influence of the Holy Spirit, so we have understanding and understand and overcome the world.
Because sometimes, when the world demands the terrible things that make us martyr, we know the identity of beings who will live by the truth as a victor's dream. Because we know the reward of heaven, it may seem like a failure in the world, but it is a victory in heaven.
Matthew 5:11-12 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven. thus persecuted.”
Living in Jesus is not a difficult term. It is a life lived according to the will of Jesus.
1 John 5:4-5 “For everyone who is born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith. 5 Who overcomes the world except he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”
Romans 8:37 “But in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
3. Above all else, we must be bold as we see the victory of Christ.
Here we must speak of an active will. From the beginning, strengthening the will is not faith, but belief, so I wanted to confirm our identity in Christ in order to understand the Word.
Now that we know that Christ has conquered the world, those who look to the Lord may have courage in their hearts.
33 “I have told you this, that you may find peace in me. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
The Jesus we possess was, in Paul's words, a treasure.
2 Corinthians 4:6-7 “The same God who said, “Out of darkness, there will be light,” has shone in our hearts the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 We have this treasure in earthen vessels, which is the power of so that they may know that exceedingly great things belong to God and not to us.”
Although we are lacking, the power of Jesus, the kingdom of heaven, and God that we have is perfect, so we must look to Jesus and be strong.
When Moses made his final will, asking for the guidance of Israel over the successor,
Joshua 1:6 “Be strong, be courageous, and you will make this people inherit the land that I swore to their fathers. Since the promise had already been given, it was a request to be strong and courageous.
Galatians 5:1 says, “Christ has set us free, so stand firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”
As a Christian, the absolute value of the truth is not smoothly fed into the world and he faces many afflictions. The word tribulation The word 'delipshis' refers to religious pains in all areas of persecution, tribulation, pain, trials, and anguish in life. It is a message to be courageous in the face of all these afflictions.
1 Peter 5:9 “Be strong in the faith, resist him, knowing that your brothers in the world suffer the same things.”
The secret to being victorious while living in a modern society of uncertainty is only possible by gaining the power of peace in Jesus the victor.
It is a very dangerous idea to expect happiness, success, and triumph from cultural things. Because the world has always believed that way, many people have failed, and even now, the world is still in turmoil and we live in anxiety and tension.
I pray that you and I will become successful in life and lead a victorious life by practicing well to gain peace in the authority of our Lord, so that your attitude toward the world has already become the spirit of a victor.
