Vision of Saesang Church
Daniel 6:10-18
The vision of the church is important. The vision is the direction the church will take and it is the reason for the church's existence. There is a reason why I have prepared this sermon. This is because the question arose, ‘Where is our New Sarang Church going, and where are we each going?’. However, we are trying to find the answer through Daniel in the Bible.
Daniel also had a life where he sat in the highest position, but everyone was jealous of him except for the king's approval. We are in this situation too. However, Daniel lived his faith proudly. Daniel was calm and not shy! How could I have lived such a life? I hope that you, like Daniel, are bold toward the world. I hope to become a member of the church who makes the world, family, and company a second church At first, even though revealing that you are a believer gave many people objection, you will soon become a person recognized for your honesty and sincerity.
What is godliness? True godliness is shown through life. Worshiping moment by moment while washing the dishes or doing company work is true godliness practiced in life. The unity of the church and life is true godliness. When we see someone suddenly doing early morning prayer or Friday all-night prayer, we say, “What is wrong with that saint!” But Daniel's prayers were always a part of his life, both happy and sad. I hope that you too will become devout people who live a life of true prayer that clings to God even if no problems arise. Faith is not a hobby or a philosophy. Faith is a decision about life or death. Daniel's case was to stop praying. But we see Daniel who chooses the lion's den and then entrusts it to God.
Our dream is heaven and we are its people. I hope this will be the vision of me and the saints.
