Content Dan 7:15-27
Title: Fantasy and Interpretation
1. I saw a terrifying vision that symbolized the rise and fall of Daniel's world. In verse 15, it says, “A vision in my brain made me troubled,” which means that Daniel’s shock was great.
2. Spiritual experiences sometimes have an impact on a person's body. After seeing the vision of the Lord, Paul could not see.
3. Daniel, who wants to know the details of God's revelation, is deeply troubled.
I. Daniel was full of questions (15-20).
A. I asked a question.
Verse 1.16 says, “I went to one of the men with him and inquired the truth about all these things.” The person who worshiped him next to him was someone who could have conversations with God.
2. Those who have seen the vision of hell cannot help worrying about the problems of their unbelievers. He will somehow pray for the salvation of his family. Unless the problem is resolved, there will be no appetite and no desire to sleep. Now Daniel is in such trouble.
B. The fourth beast had a unique appearance.
1. It was different from the three beasts. It was very frightening and extremely strong. And there were big iron teeth. It swallowed up the whole world with that iron.
2. The claws were made of brass. It was said to be trampled on and crushed. It symbolizes complete conquest and complete destruction.
3. This beast had ten horns. But from among these ten horns came another little horn. This horn had several characteristics.
1) They had eyes like human eyes (8).
2) It has a mouth to speak (8, 11, 20).
3) Very strong (20).
4) When the small horns came out of the ten horns, three of the horns that appeared before them fell out. and obeyed (8, 20, 24).
5) This little horn is said to be the leader in persecuting the saints (21).
II. The angel gave the interpretation (21-28).
A. An eternal kingdom will appear.
1. Verse 22 says, “The time came, and the saints received the kingdom.” Because of the little horn that came out of the ten horns, the church was persecuted and suffered great tribulation, but everything was resolved by the coming of the Lord. The Antichrist was destroyed and the kingdom of saints was established.
2. In an eternal country, there is no end to lifespan. The nations of the world rise and fall repeatedly depending on whose hand their governments fall into, but the nations ruled by the Messiah do not.
3. Verse 27 says that all who had authority served. The scope of the Messiah's dominion extended to all spaces of the entire universe.
B. The identity of the fourth beast was revealed.
1. It was the fourth nation to be established on this earth (23). So it is the land of iron and clay in Dan 2 chapter. The characteristics of this country differed from the previous three in power of conquest, destructive power, and governing power. He said it would be very powerful
The country was the Roman Empire.
2. The ten horns symbolized ten kings. They symbolize the total check of the human rulers of the entire era from the king of the Roman Empire to the appearance of the Antichrist. This is called the time of kings in Dan 2:44. Here, the number ten is a symbolic number that means perfection.
3. Next is the small horn. This symbolizes the Antichrist who will appear just before the Second Coming of Christ. these are
1) You will oppose God with a mouth that speaks loudly (25).
2) He pretends to be the Christ. It is in line with Revelation 13 (Revelation 13:5-6).
3) Harassing the saints. In verse 25 it is said that the saints of the Most High will suffer. It is a time of suffering for the saints.
4) Change the time and law. In order to persecute the church, the North Korean communists abolished Sunday and made the week six days. He changed the law and persecuted the church and the saints.
5) We fight the church and have temporary victory. Verse 21 says that he fought with the saints and was victorious. Verse 25 specifies the period, a time, times, and half a time. So it symbolizes three and a half years.
6) It must be destroyed. Verse 26 says, "But when the judgment begins, he will be taken away from his power and will perish to the end." This destruction began with the judgment of Esu. It is said that they will perish, and will be completely destroyed.
conclusion
1. Daniel was surprised to learn the contents of this revelation. He said that he was so surprised that even his face turned yellow.
2. But he kept these things in his heart. And I would have prayed. Now we are living the happiest freedom of religion.
3. So, the contents of the eschatology do not make sense at all. Perhaps the word unbelievable is more appropriate.
4. However, believers must prepare for tribulation. When the Antichrist reigns, the saints will experience severe persecution, but I have to make sure that my faith can overcome it.
