Title: Waiting for Hope and Hope
waiting for hope and hope
Text: Luke 2:25-39, Hymn: (491) Towards that high place
Many modern people suffer from impatience. If you suffer from impatience, consider 'snail gait'. One day a snail was climbing up from an apple tree. As I was ascending little by little at a slow pace with its antenna erect, a worm came out of a crevice in the bark of a tree and sarcastic. ‘You lazy boy’ You are wasting your energy uselessly. There aren't any apples up there for you to eat. But the snail kept climbing and said: “The apple will open by the time I get to the top.”
The final victory is not a leap from the starting point. Perseverance and hard work to reach the finish line.
“May the Lord lead your hearts into the love of God and the patience of Christ” (2 Thessalonians 3:5).
The most terrifying disease for modern people is impatient disease. People prefer rapid growth to slow growth. We take pride in our rapid growth. Some mushrooms grow in 6 hours. Pumpkins grow in six months. But an oak tree takes six years, and it takes 100 years to develop into a healthy oak tree. In 100 years, there were not only warm sunlight and fluffy winds. It also includes hours of pain and misfortune, when thunder and raging winds rage. Freeing yourself from impatience means accepting time, and accepting time means knowing how to wait and how to endure.
It is unfortunate that there are so many people around these days who are living in a difficult and difficult life.
