Title: Walk in the name of Jesus

Contents

Acts 3:1-10 Walk in the name of Jesus Topic: 16. Authority. 2006. 2. 5.

Introduction

: God is ready for another great harvest of souls. Now is the time to get people's attention.

God came and healed a man. He was the one everyone knew (the crippled man begging at the beautiful gates of the temple).

God filled him with the Holy Spirit, and he became enthusiastic with joy and excitement. Naturally, it attracted the attention of the crowd.

Facts shown by transfer

① Jesus is alive.

(You are appearing on this earth today as you were when you were alive on this earth).

② Jesus is still working through his followers.

(Go into the world to heal and save people)

1. Ministry - Jesus is still working through His disciples. (1-5)

Jesus' presence and power are still visible and effective in people.

Jesus' great love and concern for the world are still being shown through the lives of his disciples.

(He works not with His hands, feet, and voice, but with our hands, feet, and voice.

If we do not practice and preach God's word, God's work will not be accomplished.

One). Jesus works through those who are faithful in prayer.

“The ninth hour” Peter and John were entering the temple to pray.

Jews observed prayer times three times a day: ① the third hour (9 a.m.) ② the sixth hour (noon) and ③ the ninth hour (3 PM).

They entered the temple because they were men of prayer.

By having three prayer meetings at a fixed time, intensive time (worship) and prayer, I was able to close the world and focus only on God. This was the prayer life of Peter and John.

Jesus was able to work through the suffering people to meet their needs.

(Acts 3:1, 10:9, Psalm 55:17, Dan 6:10)

2). Jesus works through those who pay attention to the needs of those who suffer physically and mentally.

He did not look at Peter and John when begging for alms. (4)

The point: He was hurt internally and externally. He is the representative of many people in this world.

① People suffer a lot internally and externally in a world that ignores others, is indifferent to others, is selfish, and is greedy.

② The fatal thing is the indifference of God's people (just like the world), and people suffer a lot.

No matter where we look around us, there is a need. That need is everywhere around us. Therefore, Jesus can only work through those who care for the desperate need of the wounded.

3). Jesus works through people who care about people's needs.

When you see people getting hurt and suffering, you have to stop and pay attention to the need.

“Pay attention” means to pay attention, which means seeing a person's need and focusing attention on that need. That is, until the need is met, ① attention, ② attention, and ③ attention are concentrated.

Peter exists on this earth for the sake of the Lord and to meet the needs of the world.

This is what we must do today.

4). Jesus works through those who come to meet their needs.

You cannot meet the needs of the world just by focusing your attention on them.

Peter actually put it into action. He was a representative of the Lord. it showed that

“Look at us” These words had authority and captured the person. It made him expect to receive something.
