Title: Watch and Pray-5
Contents
(Ephesians 6:11-18) “Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist the wiles of the devil. Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but principalities and powers, and the rulers of this darkness, and the evil spirits in heaven. Against spirits, therefore, put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and have done all things, so that you may stand and take your belt of truth and put on the breastplate of righteousness, and put on your sandals with the preparations of the gospel of peace. Taking the shield of faith above all things, by which you are able to extinguish all the fires of the evil one, and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray for the many saints”
1. Am I pleasing to God when I examine my own beliefs?
1) Why should we believe in God and obey His teachings?
- Why should we spend our time and possessions to believe and worship God?
* Is God worth it to you?
* All people are value-seekers in their lives.
* Everyone works hard for that value.
* Don't care about things that you don't think are worthwhile for yourself.
* Where does God place the value of belief? Heaven, Blessing, Fear
* Are you in line with God's purpose and code for us?
* Do you think that you are not dreaming with God?
- What does God want and purpose for us? : What is the Bible record?
(Philippians 2:13-15) “It is God who works in you, to your will and to do what is good for you. are children of God without blemish in the midst of generations, to be seen as lights among them in the world.”
* Putting his will in us as a wish and making it come true through us: our calling
* For that, God bought us with the blood of Jesus.
* The value of every Christian lies in accomplishing the will of God.
* God has given us specific commands to act.
(Matthew 6:33) “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
* All Christians must produce the kingdom of God and the righteousness of God with their lives.
* The kingdom of God and the righteousness of God are specifically shown through the records of the Bible.
* All things are provided with value recognized when they bear fruit according to God's purpose.
* These fruits will bring glory to God. : It is the essence of the Christian life.
(John 15:8) “My Father is glorified, that ye bear much fruit, and ye shall be my disciples.”
(1 Corinthians 10:31) “Therefore, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
* Since the beginning of God, man's focus has been focused on the glory of God.
* This is why Christians should be the light and salt of the world.
* For this, we must fight the good fight of faith as God's soldiers on this earth.
* Our battle is not with man, but with the evil spirits against God.
* Do these words really come to mind? is it just that
2. For the battle of faith, we must equip ourselves with the full armor of faith.
1) When a military disarms itself, it means surrender.
- I want you to think for yourself. Are you disarmed or armed with full body armor?
- Belted with the truth: as a Christian, be serious.
- Put on the breastplate of righteousness
* Do not create an excuse for slander by not being a stumbling block to all.
- Declare your shoes with the preparations of the gospel of peace
* Strengthen your steps with the words of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- With the shield of faith, extinguish the fire of the evil one,
* Trust in God, that is, do not doubt, believe firmly, and resist the temptation of unbelief.
- Helm of Salvation
* Do not be shaken by strengthening the fact that you have been saved through faith.
- Take the sword of the Spirit, the word of God.
* Do not let the Word of God depart from you.
* Oppose evil with hope in the promised word.
2) Do your best to always watch and pray.
- Through prayer, you break your heart and discover and realize yourself
* Prayer is a confessional act of acknowledging one's laziness and putting hope in God's promises.
* Prayer is the only channel of God's power.
(John 15:7) “If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
* Confess yourself to God with ignorance and ask boldly.
(Galatians 6:9) “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we are not weary.”
