Title [2010] Way of the Cross
Contents
In the 20th to early 21st century, the media industry is at the center of human cultural civilization. Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corporation, dubbed the “media emperor,” said that content is more important than any electronic device. Speaking of Christianity as a medium, church buildings, forms of worship, and various events of the church belong to the device (hardware) of the media. What matters is what kind of content you present rather than hardware. For a church, the form of worship and other hardware are important, but the content is more important. The content of Christianity to which we belong is the Gospel. The core of the gospel is “the way of the cross”. Without the “way of the cross” in Christianity, it is meaningless. Today is Palm Sunday (Passion Sunday) in the season of Lent to commemorate the suffering of Jesus Christ, who came as the Savior of mankind. From now on, Christians for a week from today will observe the Holy Week, pray, be temperate, and live a godly life, illuminating the sufferings of the Lord more in their lives.
First, it was empty. You put yourself down. He came down from the throne of heaven to a low and lowly stable. Like Jesus, Christians should use this season of Lent as an opportunity to empty themselves a little more. There is also Paul's teaching, 1 Timothy 6:7, "We brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it." Letting go in life is important. As we try to have more of the way we live, we are living a tired, exhausted, and dissatisfied life. I hope this will be an opportunity to empty yourself by letting go during the Holy Week of Lent.
I pray that you will become shepherding saints who truly humbly empty themselves, humble themselves, and serve with sacrifice so that they can boast of their cross like Paul did during the Holy Week commemorating the “way of the cross” of Jesus. do.
