Title: We've already won
Revelation (53) We have already won (Revelation 12:7-9)
< We have already won >
In the text, in the vision of the 7th angel when the trumpet is blown, Michael and his angels, the angels, fight Satan and his messengers, the demons. As a result of that heavenly war, Satan and the demons were miserably defeated and cast out to earth. As such, Satan is already defeated. On the other hand, since believers who believe in God are already victorious beings, there is no need to conclude that they are losers in life no matter what hardships and failures they face.
The original meaning of the name Satan is ‘slanderer, accuser’. As Satan's attributes are revealed in its meaning, Satan's main specialty is not to physically beat and threaten, but to weaken faith and constantly condemn and deceive, saying, "You are not able to stand before God!" Therefore, it is important to be careful about what you say and be careful about what you hear. Instead, you should always try to say a lot and listen a lot. Words of faith and encouragement not only bless others who hear them, but also bring greater blessings to those who speak them.
If you guard your heart, mind, mouth, and ears, which are the four key points of spiritual warfare, and keep your faith strong, the devil cannot harm the saints. The devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8), but it is a pure threat and the devil can never devour saints.
Don't try to live too easy and don't try too hard. The devil's attacks are very real, persistent, and simply do not end. Don't think too easily. Don't laugh at the devil. It is not easy to overcome the devil and live. On the other hand, don't try to live too hard. If a believer is in God whom he loves and is not vigilant with a proud heart, he can never be defeated by the devil.
Depending on your state of mind, you may experience heaven or hell in the same environment. If you lose in the heart, you lose in life, and if you win in the heart, you win in life. So fill your heart with the belief that darkness can never overcome light. If the person who makes it difficult because his heart is overflowing with faith seems to be a poor person who has lost his way, and if the environment that makes him difficult seems to be a process for final victory rather than creating fear, he is already a victor.
< The history of the devil behind the dark >
Why does the text describe the war in the end times and record the war in the spirit realm in the beginning? This is to say that all wars stem from the invisible war behind them. Wars in the visible world are often a by-product of wars in the spiritual realm. Especially, when you try to start something new for God, Satan's attacks are especially severe. We must strive to have the right biblical knowledge so that we do not fall into such satanic attacks and delusions.
We should strive to know the Bible a lot, especially those who completely deny the truth that has been built and tested for a long time in the past, and beware of people who appear as if they have a new and special truth. someone said “A closer look at how insidious Satan’s deception is is to the point of fainting.” Satan can do anything beyond the imagination of ordinary people, so he must always stand firm in the Word.
It is not easy to stand firm in the Word, and it may sound like a no-brainer, especially for new believers. Still, God has provided sufficient measures. One of these measures is ‘conscience’ and the other is ‘common sense’. Therefore, we need to be careful to follow truths that we cannot accept conscientiously, and be careful to follow truths that are too inconsistent with common sense.
Some may ask this question. “Christianity is a religion of miracles, but of course, isn’t it common sense?” There is some truth to that statement, but God has given everyone at least the basic ability to distinguish the miraculous that transcends common sense from the nonsensical that does not go with common sense or the common sense that obliterates common sense. The problem is that we lose our common-sense judgment ability because of greed and fear.
Never follow a person with a sense of ignorance, no matter how bizarre or how amazing they may appear. Satan is a genius of deception. Raise the level of holy common sense by always awake, sober, trying to gather together, and even more diligently to know the truth. Spiritual warfare is not only in the end times, but continues in our hearts even now. To prevent an evil spirit from entering your heart, set up a spiritual barrier with the Word and prayer.
