Title: We Are a Shepherd's Family
Contents
The text is Matthew 12:46-50
First, Jesus and our saints are one.
Second, Jesus and our saints are together.
Today's text Matthew 12:46-50 is also found in Mark 3:31-35 and Luke 8:19-21. Mary, the mother of Jesus, and his brothers and sisters came to the place where Jesus was preaching and healing the sick. Then a man who met them outside came to Jesus and said, "Jesus! My mother and my brothers are out there,” Jesus said then. “Who is my brother, sister, or mother? Those who do God’s will are my brothers and sisters and mothers.” That is, my “family” is important. God’s will is important. Romans 12:2 “Discern the will of God”
If you look for God's will in the Bible, ① John 6:40 “The will of my Father is that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him has eternal life.” Believing in Jesus and being saved. Therefore, we believe and we evangelize. ②Ephesians 5:17 “Understand the will of the Lord” Instead of getting drunk, you must be filled with the Holy Spirit, praise the Lord with your heart, give thanks in everything, and submit to one another. ③1 Thessalonians 4:3 “This is the will of God, for your holiness” We must cast away sexual immorality, do not follow lust, and do not harm our brothers.
④ 1 Peter 3:17 “It is the will of God to suffer” for believing in Jesus ⑤ 1 Peter 5:2 “Do it voluntarily, according to the will of God, not for filthy gain” It is God's will to do it because it is fun.
God and I, you and I, we are all one in the Lord. And we are a family of shepherds. Hallelujah!
