Title: We Are Witnesses of These Things
Contents
Jesus died on the cross. This is a very clear fact. The Bible records it. But he bought it again the third day. This is also true. The Bible testifies. He died for our sins and rose again to make us live again. So, through the merits of this Jesus (grace), we have the way to die from our sins and live by righteousness. I hope that the Easter service will be a worship service that will fully exalt and glorify the grace and power of overcoming death of Jesus, who rose again for us.
The resurrection of Christianity has a three-dimensional temporal meaning.
1. Past Resurrection (The Resurrection Event of Jesus): Two thousand years ago, Jesus overcame death (the grave) and rose to life with a new life. This resurrection is the 'resurrection' you must believe in. This resurrection faith guarantees us eternal life and gives us eternal life.
2. Present resurrection (resurrection event of the believer's life): Those who believe in the life of Jesus will live by the life (power) of Jesus. This life makes us live. It brings positive and creative change not only in consciousness, values and meaning, but also in words and deeds, in character and in everything I am. It recreates us into a world of freedom and peace from iniquity and all uncleanness (derived from unbelief and sin). This resurrection is a “resurrection that must be changed.”
3. Future Resurrection (My Resurrection Event): We must believe in the resurrection of Jesus and live with hope while staying on this earth with that power and vitality. So, those who have this faith live by 'faith with the hope of resurrection'. Even if there is a death threat, even if there is a threat of death, abundant faith, freedom, and peace are possible only when there is this resurrection in which I believe that I will rise again. It is the same thing that Deacon Stephen looked up at at the scene of martyrdom, and the people who lived in the underground catacombs of the Roman era looking upward (to see the Lord's second coming) are those who have this future resurrection (belief that they will live again like Jesus). It was. This faith confirms, confirms, and strengthens our faith.
Now look at today's message.
