Title: We Can / Exodus 15:13-18
Content We Can / Exodus 15:13-18
Key Verse: “You lead the people whom you have redeemed with your grace, and by your strength you bring them into your holy dwelling place” (Exodus 15:13).
Word: Now that the people of Israel have crossed the Red Sea like land, they are full of courage. All the sorrows of being oppressed as slaves in Egypt were blown away. The passivity and sense of defeat of slaves are not taking place in them only at this moment. The song of Moses that we are praising now reflects the confidence of the people of Israel that no one can stop us.
The biggest income that Korea has earned through the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup is the revival of the spirit of ‘Can do’. This was the spirit that captured our country in the 1970s. People who were in the field of tireless economic development had this kind of spirit. Although the side effects of the unilateral development economy were formidable, the spirit of ‘we can do it’ was a treasure in this country with few resources and a small land mass.
After the 80's and entering the 90's, my fighting spirit disappeared as I started living a little better. It is very important to see life positively and live with an active attitude. That spirit is contained in the song of Moses in today's sermon. Israel will surely enter the sanctified dwelling place, the Promised Land, by the power of the Lord. There is no country that can stand in the way of Israel. All nations will tremble. The Philistines will be afraid, and the mighty men of Edom and Moab will be terrified. The people of Canaan will be terrified before they even fight Israel. God will make the Israelites settle in Canaan, the “mountain of Your inheritance.” It is a place the Lord has prepared in advance. With this level of confidence, the future is bright. It's bright! Where do you go when you are fully prepared?
Everything is a mixture of possibilities and impossibility. The question is whether you have the faith to see the possibilities and be sure of victory. The power of faith opens the door to success. Is your future bright? Are you confident that there will be success and victory in your future with God's help? We can answer 'yes' to this question. Because God is our Father.
Prayer: Be sure of God's strength and help, and live each day with a full heart. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
