Title: Wealth/ Proverbs 13:7-11
-- Not long ago, a case of counterfeiting made a lot of noise in the world. This can be said to be an event that tells one aspect of this society.
In other words, not only the criminals, but also many people who are frantic about accumulating wealth, employing unrighteous methods, and because there are many people who spend their money profusely in unrighteous places, today the Lord calls the writer of Proverbs. You are giving boundaries to wealth.
--What is the saint's attitude toward material things?
##### 1. You must not use unjust methods to raise money.
Hosea 12:7...<I am an old woman, and I love to defraud with false scales in my hand.>
Verse 11...< Wealth acquired in vain diminishes, but what we gather with our hands increases.>
--If you try to raise money in an unjust way, it becomes a source of evil. Money itself is not evil, but unrighteous wealth becomes evil.
So the Apostle Paul said, "The love of money is the root of all evil..."
--Democritus...< The love of money is the home of all evil.>
--Seneca...< All evil in the mind springs from the desire to covet what is not mine.>
--Phocylides...<The love of money is the mother of all evil.>
--Filo...< The love of money is the starting point of breaking the law.>
##### 2. Don't be too greedy
Verse 7: <There are those who pretend to be rich and have nothing, and there are those who pretend to be poor and have great wealth.>
In fact, the desire for money is endless. So that desire leads to sin.
--Our members must have the wisdom to know how to be satisfied.
##### 3. Don't hurt other people's hearts because of money problems
Verse 8...< A man's wealth can take possession of his life, but the poor are not threatened.
The poor are not threatened because they have never broken anyone's heart.
However, most of the wealthy people tend to be resentful and misunderstood by others, and they are the target of intimidation.
##### 5. The money we earn should be spent on good things
1 John 3:17...< If someone has the goods of this world and sees his brother in need and blocks his heart to help, how can the love of God dwell in him? >
--Explanation
--John Wessler went to the evangelism meeting and preached about money. When I said, “Make a lot of money in a fair way,” a Sujeon-no who only knew money, heard the sound and said, “Hey, you preach really well.
Second, he said, "Save as much money as possible." He exclaimed, "Hey, you're really good at preaching. It's the first time I've seen someone so good at preaching."
However, when the third man said, "Spend the money you earn and save for good things," this man who admired and praised him stood up with a slap on his knee and said, "I gave up the sermon," and went out.
--Knowledge is power, famously said by the English philosopher and politician Francis Bacon, who was asked at a meeting about the theory that money has and sometimes does not have value. answered together.
<Money is the best servant, the worst master.>
This saying also shows that money can be the best servant when applied well, and can be the worst master when applied poorly.
Let's earn diligently and live the life of a wise saint who knows how to use it beautifully.
