Title: Wealth to watch out for
Contents
Bible Text: 2 Chronicles 9:13-21 Title: Wealth to watch out for
No one hates wealth.
For religious or other special reasons
Except for a very few people who pursue a life of poverty
Everyone likes wealth and wants to be rich.
But wealth is not necessarily a blessing.
It just means you've got a lot of it
It is an object of danger that we must constantly be vigilant about.
You cannot serve God and mammon. (Luke 16:13)
1. Solomon became very wealthy.
2. Wealth makes man proud and indolent.
In Proverbs 30:7-9, Agur son of Jakeh prayed:
7 I have asked thee for two things; give me before I die.
8 Keep away from me falsehood and lies, and do not make me poor.
Don't make me rich, but feed me with the bread I need.
9 Or maybe I am full and do not know God, saying, Who is the LORD?
least I be poor and steal, and profane the name of my God.
It is easy to say that you do not know God if you are wealthy and have enough.
Indulge in Nata and seek pleasure or pleasure. Herein lies the danger of wealth.
3. Christians must be on guard against the constant desire to be rich.
Let's meditate on 1 Timothy 6:7-12.
7 We brought nothing into the world.
Nor can I take anything with me.
8 If we have food and clothing, we will be content with it.
9 Those who want to be rich are tempted and a snare, and many foolish and harmful
falling into lust, which plunges men into destruction and destruction.
10 The love of money is the root of all evil.
Those who long for this will be deceived and depart from the faith
He pierced himself with many sorrows.
11 But you, man of God, avoid these things.
after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness,
12 Fight the good fight of faith, take hold of eternal life
To this you were called, and in the presence of many witnesses
tested of good
Wealth is a responsibility to share, and the accumulation of wealth is
It is the sin of not giving a share but accumulating for one's own sake.
