Title: Weeds and Pearls (Matthew 13:36-50)
Description: A child buys a toy with a check for 1 million won. The bride's 60 million won worth of coma is not satisfied and is beaten. These stories have become chronic. I'm not even surprised.
I am not talking about a large amount of money. It is dizzying to see where the notion of values is. You never know what people live for and what they live for.
The autumn leaves are beautifully colored in Seoraksan Mountain.楞I would like to visit sometime. I did not get to see the famous autumn leaves of Seoraksan Mountain.
I travel throughout the year to travel all over the country. However, I haven't been able to visit the famous tourist spots. It's not because you don't have enough space or ability. Because you are not traveling for the purpose of tourism.
It was when the newspapers were talking about the beautiful autumn leaves on Mt. Naejang. You might be wondering what the autumn leaves look like. I wanted to visit it once.
At that time, I was traveling around Sunchang-gun, Jeollabuk-do. We conducted an evangelism campaign in 10 villages in Bokheung-myeon. It was at the foot of Naejangsan Mountain. Naejangsa Temple is only 2km away.
I wanted to see the autumn leaves of Naejangsan Mountain. Seeing autumn leaves is not a sin. You have to live while watching the autumn leaves. But when this thought entered my mind, I was shocked. It's not because the autumn leaves are bad. As the world is excited, I am amazed at how excited I am at the same time.
Work must have a purpose, and the road must have direction. Actions must have meaning. If the mullet jumps, the goby shouldn't even jump. But this world is like a mess. Without thinking and without meaning, if someone else is doing it, they just run wildly.
Among the people in Bupyeong-cho who live without these indicators of life, the saints are the chosen citizens of heaven. While obeying God's call, we must realize His will and live meaningfully.
A Christian is the indicator and direction of that society. The light of the world that the Lord spoke of and salt is that. The more confused the generation, the more religious life is demanded.
But today's church members are not like that. It seems that it is the believers who make the muddy waters of the world even more polluted. It's unfortunate.
There are many people who just diligently pursue the church for what reason they believe in Jesus. Our life of faith should not be like this.
It seems that they are often scolded by the theory of the Second Coming of the Lord in 1992. I wish the Lord would come sooner rather than later. But before the Lord comes, there are some things you need to know. It is a matter of hell. So today's topic is hell. Hell is a place of existing reality.
Do you know Nero? Nero the black cat Nero is not the Nero in the song. This is the story of a real Roman emperor in history. Nero is well known among Christians as a tyrant and persecutor of Christianity. But we don't know exactly how vicious the character was.
Nero plotted and executed his brother-in-law Britannis. He committed adultery with Porivia, the wife of a loyal servant. The maintenance worker, Queen Octavia, was framed and killed by steaming.
He killed his mother by mutilation. After marrying Poribiya, he kicked him and killed him. He killed his own child by throwing it upside down in the sea. General Varas, his henchman, suspected that he would revolt, and poisoned him.
Nero set fire to the city of Rome. It was a great fire that burned down as many as 10 out of 14 districts. When protests flooded, the sin was blaming the Christians.
Many Christians were crucified. It was served as food for a hungry lion. It was used as a candle by burning the head of a mountain man. He did all sorts of cruelty.
Nero killed 200 soldiers and civilians when the conspiracy to assassinate Weisso was discovered. He also killed Seneca, his teacher and famous philosopher in history. Nero was such a person. He looked like a bloodthirsty man, when Calva, the governor of Spain, couldn't stand it and rebelled. Nero, who fled to Huon, attempted suicide, but did not die properly. The sword went out of his neck.
When the servant Evabrosidas, who had been watching by his side, grabbed Nero's hand holding the sword and stabbed him in the neck, Nero's end was finally over.
This is Nero's journey. This Nero is dead. where did you go
History has flowed and the era of Hitler in Germany has come. Hitler killed 6 million Jews. They were dragged into a gas bath and massacred.
Gold teeth were extracted from the teeth of dead corpses and used as military funds. Soap was made from human oil. It was used as human fertilizer by rotting the invoice, burying it in the field, and sowing wheat.
It is said that the wheat grown in this way matured so well that it was used as food for the German army before the end of World War II.
Hitler also died. After being defeated in World War II, he committed suicide by hanging his lover by the neck in a trench. Where did Hitler go after he died?
Not long ago. The story of the Argentine dictator Alfonsin. He killed two thousand people, knowingly and unknowingly. They were indiscriminately slaughtered to protect the dictatorship.
They tied their hands behind their backs, put them on a boat, and threw them into the deep sea. I got on a plane and dropped it in the air.
At the Presidential Palace, parties were held twice a week, and it is said that a feast of human flesh was held. It's not an old-fashioned story. It is a modern story. It's something you can't afford to do with human skin.
Such dictatorships have also collapsed. He was tried and disappeared under the dew of death row. Where did this person go?
Nothing to ask. These people go to hell. If there is no hell, it is nonsense. There is hell. Hell must exist.
Some people wish there was no hell. Are these people with a twisted back? Or are they philanthropists?
Violent crimes are increasing day by day. Prison is the place where home destroyers, kidnappers, and iron-hearts who kidnap and kill their nieces and nephews are caught and imprisoned.
If these criminals were to be released at once, who would be most opposed? Maybe they're the kind of people who wish there would be no hell.
In the face of the reality of being killed in a payphone box and being killed in a petty argument, people unknowingly tell them to go to hell. Because they implicitly wish for Hell to exist.
Those released from prison even for minor offenses are called ex-convicts. It makes me cringe when someone with a trivial ex-con is next to me. A prison is a place where criminals are kept. It is said that prisoners are criminals. So that's why it's creepy.
That's right. Hell is God's prison. The sinners are imprisoned in God's prison. What would happen if there was no prison of God?
So there must be hell. No, there is. The biblical story of hell is not a parable. I'm talking about an existing reality. Let's continue our discussion of hell.
First, what the Bible says about hell, second, what the Hebrew and Greek words for hell mean, and third, we will look at the common common conception of hell.
First, does the Bible speak of hell? Do you believe because the Bible says it? Or is Hell just a fictional story? In Matthew 25:41 and 46, the Lord says, "And he said to them on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels'. It is clear that there is a burning hell.
Psalm 9:17 says the wicked will return to hell. Pussy is hell. Matthew 22:13 says, "Cast him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
Crying refers to sorrow. The fact that there is gnashing of teeth is a word that represents the excruciating pain and suffering of hell.
According to Matthew 25:30, the servant who does not earn any talent goes to hell. Talents are the mission of called servants. Even Christians will go to hell if they do not fulfill their mission.
Mark 9:43 says that entering into eternal life crippled is better than going whole body into the unquenchable fire of hell.
Luke 3:17 and Matthew 3:12 speak of an unquenchable hellfire. Luke 16 vividly describes the soul of the rich dead who was tormented in the flames of hell.
Revelation 19:20 lists those who will be cast into Hell, a burning fire of unquenchable brimstone. According to Mark 12:40, the hypocrisy of a believer is a sense of hell.
The Bible speaks nonstop about hell. Matthew 13:41, 42, 49, 50 says that they are thrown into the furnace of fire. The furnace fire is hell. All those who practice lawlessness, that is, those who do not follow the word of God, go to hell.
Second, the term Hell. This phrase we are using plausibly is not a biblical term. It is a Buddhist term. When translating the Bible, we borrowed it because there were no proper Korean words.
In the Bible, Hell is called Sheol in Hebrew and Hades in Greek. In our translation, it is called Hades. However, these two words do not fully express the hell the Bible speaks of.
The Lord liked to use the word Gehenna. What is Gehenna? Valley of Hinnom, southwest of Jerusalem.
It was a place where people were slaughtered alive and sacrificed to idols. The Jews thought it was a dirty place, so they threw out the trash and burned it. Dirty garbage is dumped in this valley. The maggots are infested. There is always a fire going on to burn it. The Lord used Gehenna as an expression of hell.
what is hell A place to dump human waste. A place where human waste is burned forever.
third. Summarize the words of the text. The Lord sows good seeds in the field. It is said that the field is the soul of man. The harvest is the end of the Lord's Second Coming.
After sowing the seeds, he went out to the field and found weeds that had not been sown. The servants ask us to pull out the weeds. The Lord doesn't allow it. Because when the weeds are pulled up, the wheat is also uprooted.
People groan. Why do the wicked prosper and the righteous suffer? How the hell is God alive? But at that time, God smiles.
It is because the wheat is injured while trying to pluck the weeds. The day will surely come when righteousness will be rewarded with groans of pain.
Harvest. The wheat is gathered and brought into barns. The wheat is the saved saints. These are Christians who will be rewarded for their righteous suffering when the Lord returns.
There are tares in the field. They are the souls of those who bear fruit from other seeds that the Lord has not sown. In other words, it is not according to the Bible. They are humanitarians. These are the people who clamored to serve the Lord with the opinions and talents of men.
It is said that the weeds are gathered and burned. This is the state of hell. Hell is a place where human waste is incinerated.
The Lord sees an eternal future. He knows the end of an evil life. Life running down the road to hell is so pitiful. He came to this earth to avoid eternal punishment and to open the door to eternal life.
He came in the form of flesh. He went through all the sufferings of mankind. That alone was not enough, so He was nailed to the cross. The precious blood of the Lord washes away the sins of all people.
But not all. Only those who hear the word of the Lord and come to Him by faith and rely on His blood will receive atonement.
Just because you have been washed with the blood of the Lord and become a citizen of heaven does not mean you have received the reward of eternal life. Among the saved believers, there are those who will go to hell. Only the saints who understand the word of the Lord and serve with fear will enter eternal life.
