Sermons for Preaching

March 9th Sunday Sermon

Numbers 21:4-9

The era in which the Bible was written is different from the era we live in now. Because they have different personalities and different lifestyles. The problem is that you need to know the most important principles and principles for solving the problem. And this principle and principle is to do what God has taught you to do.

In Matthew 4:7, Jesus said in his first public life, “From that time on, Jesus began to preach and say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”, and to repent. And to accept Jesus as Lord. Then this Jesus will guide our lives.

Benjamin Stein, of Reader's Digest, has published "8 Attributes of Failing in This World". First, it is said that he is a person with a self-deceptive personality. It is to know yourself. Second, they say they are unproductive. It's about being creative. Third, it is the failure to respect those who should be respected. Fourth, rude behavior, rudeness. Fifth, wear inappropriate clothes. Sixth, list only the negative and critical ones. Seventh, Trouble Maker, likes to fight. And finally, I write that I don't know the priority. These 8 attributes are that failure in life comes only because of yourself.

And in today's text, the people of Israel were such people. He was full of complaints and dissatisfaction toward God, had no vision, and was trying to settle for reality. And we know that God is a God of love to us and at the same time a God who is angry through today's text verse 6. God sent fiery serpents to the Israelites to bite them.

But in verse 7, God gives the arm of salvation to those who want to be saved. Here we need to know how great God's love is. Even Jesus never despiced those who cried out to him, who reached out to him. And in verse 8, God said to Moses, “Put a brass serpent on a pole, and the people bitten by the serpent will be healed when they see it.”

Those who saw the bronze serpent lived, and those who did not see but only their own pain, circumstances, and abilities died.

We must look to God. We must look to Jesus Christ on the cross. We must not only look at our circumstances, but lift our heads toward the cross. I hope that Jesus is the only answer and that only Jesus is the way to live. I hope you will win the victory through faith in your life.
