Title: What Do You Want?

Contents

"Hey boy, what do you want? Who the hell are you?" he asked. Then the woodcutter said, "Grandpa's Losing Yu is not the woodcutter from the gold ax and the silver ax, but the woodcutter from the fairy and the woodcutter! The fairy who told me to come out doesn't come, and the grandfather comes out and scolds me?"

That's right. No matter how old we are, we can't give us what we want. We have many things we want in life. As a father, I can't give my kids everything they want. I can't even allow it. But our Father God is not like that. Like a living spirit, God does not see people wrong. God knows very well what we want.

God gives us what He wants us to do. In the text, God tells Caleb to give the city of Hebron to Caleb. When the Israelites came out of Egypt, conquered and divided the land of Canaan, they did not divide the land as they thought it would. They came to the land they wanted so much, but they also share it as God directs them to share it. Because as Deuteronomy 10:14 says, "The heavens and all the heavens and the earth and everything on them belong to the LORD your God."

That's right. Everything in this world was created by God. They all belong to Jehovah. It belongs to God. God is in control according to His will. That is why God grants all that he has to those who love him and receive grace. God doesn't give everyone what he wants. God doesn't give everyone what he wants. God grants what he wants only to those who allow it. So, to whom does God allow what he wants?

1. God grants what he wants to those who challenge him.

This is God's law. God does not grant anything to those who lie down with only their mouths open. If you only believe in God, you do not automatically let the pumpkins roll over with a vine. It is said that not everything will come true if you just pray. The laws of the Bible are always the same. God first grants promises. And only those who believe in that promise, challenge and work hard can get better results.

That is the case with today's text. God gave Caleb the city of Hebron. He gave them all into his hands. So Caleb went up with his soldiers and fought and defeated <Seshai>, <Ahiman>, and <Talmai>, the descendants of the descendants of Anak. As a result, they drove them out and conquered the land. But if they do not drive out and conquer the people who live in the land, the land does not belong to Israel. Therefore, the people of that land who could not be driven out were left behind and became a tormentor to the people of Israel.

Dear all,

We read the newspaper not long ago and were challenged a lot. A first-year student at a technical school won first place in a Japanese language contest. There are many foreign language high school students, and there are many students majoring in Japanese in the humanities as well. It is really surprising how a high school student got first place. The student played every day until middle school and had no interest in studying, so his grades were in the bottom. However, after receiving the announcement, I decided that something had to be changed and I decided to study first. And as a result of studying while sleeping only 4 hours a day, I got first place in the public high school in no time. That alone was not enough, so I decided to try the Japanese language, and after hard work, I got such a good result. Had this student given up on the challenge ahead of time, he would not have shown this amazing ability he possessed.

Even when God allowed Jacob to bless him, he did not bless Jacob who was still. He worked for 20 years to achieve the blessing. No matter how much power Moses received from God, he would never have saved the people of Israel if he hadn't gone to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and challenged him. After David was chosen as king by Samuel, there were unspeakable challenges and difficulties until he ascended to the throne. By overcoming this adversity and suffering and challenging himself, he was able to ascend to the throne of greatness. Jesus promises to challenge us again.

Matthew 7:7 ?sk, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. Everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds. If the evil one knows how to give good gifts to his children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him.??This is God's promise. Do you want something? Is that pleasing to God? Is that to the glory of God? Challenge yourself. I believe that God will allow us to challenge ourselves.

2. God helps those who are with God to get what they want.

In today's text, Caleb wants to attack the city of Kirjath-zebel, where the descendants of Anak live, and make it his own. A little while ago, they attacked the city of Hebron and drove out the giants, Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai. Caleb could not drive out the Debir dwellers, who now reside in higher places and are stronger, by himself. So he runs a prize contest for young and strong warriors. He said, "Warrior, if someone goes up and strikes Kirathzebel and takes her, I will give my daughter Aksa to wife." In the end, Utniel, who was challenged by these words, went and conquered the inhabitants of Debir.

That's right. Even though we are strong and outstanding people of God, there are things we cannot do in our own strength. At this point, you need someone to help you. If Caleb was able to conquer a land that he could not conquer even with his help with a young warrior, how wonderful would it be when we are with God and receive God's help? God is our helper. God wants to help us. Why? Why does Almighty God want us to help? Why are you helping us in need? The Bible says

Isaiah 44:2 ?hus says the LORD, who will form you, who will form you in the womb, and who will help you. Fear not, my servant Jacob, my chosen Jeshurun."

God is the one who made us. God created us from our mother's womb. So God knows our constitution. We know our I.Q. We all know we get up early and go to bed late. He knows all of our worries and pains. Because He is our Maker, He can help us. The Bible promises.

Genesis 28:15 ? am with you, and I will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done all that I have promised you.??It means that God is with us until we achieve everything that He has given us. If God is with us, He will protect us wherever we go and lead us no matter what we do. Those with God choose the right thing. Those who help God get what they want. This year, I hope that you will be with God and get what you want with God's help.

3. God gives what he wants to those who specifically ask for it.

In the text, Caleb says that when his daughter Aksa is marrying Utniel, his daughter Aksa rides on a donkey and returns to find her father Caleb. Watching his married daughter come back, Caleb asks his daughter. "What do you want?" Caleb knew what his daughter Achsa wanted. But Caleb is asking what he wants, even though he knows.

Even though Jesus knows what we want, he is confirming it. In Mark 10:51 and below, as Jesus was leaving the city of Jericho, he met Bartimaeus, a blind beggar calling for Jesus. Jesus asks Bartimaeus, 'What do you want? What do you want me to do for you?' Would Jesus ask again because he doesn't know what the blind beggar seeking his help wants? Even a small child can clearly see that the blind looking for Jesus is seeking to open their eyes. But Jesus is asking the blind Bartimaeus what he wants. Why? There are two reasons for this. God does not answer vaguely asking. This is because the person who asks vaguely is without a purpose, so even if he gives what he asks for, he cannot give thanks. If we vaguely pray that we will study well, God will not listen. When we ask for power without a purpose, God does not answer. The Bible says

1 John 5:14 says, ?his is the boldness we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.??Yes, when we pray with a clear purpose in prayer, God When that happens, God will give you specific answers.

And the second reason to pray specifically is that we know our circumstances better than we ourselves do. I know all too well what I need right now and what I want right now. Nevertheless, God asks us so that we may know that what we want is not through our own strength or effort, but only through God's grace. When we pray specifically for what we want, we become more dependent on God. Our faith is growing. When we get what we want through prayer, we do not become arrogant or self-confident, but humbly realize God's grace. That is why God asks, ?hat do you want???even though He knows what we want, and He is waiting for us to specifically pray.

Dear all!

A bright future is open to us. We have endless possibilities. This is what God is asking us now. 'What do you want? How would you answer this question today?
