4. Surely he bore our sorrows and bore our sorrows, but we thought that he was chastised, smitten by God, and afflicted.
5. He was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and with his wounds we are healed.
6. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way, and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; like a lamb to the slaughter, and a sheep silent before its shearers, so he did not open his mouth.
8. He was humiliated and tried and taken away, but who of his generation thought that he was cut off from the land of the living because of the transgressions of my people, who deserved punishment?
9. He did no violence, and no lie was found in his mouth, but his grave was with the wicked, and after he died he was with the rich.

Title: What Happened on the Cross
Text: Isaiah 53:4-9, Luke 23:32-38
What happened on the cross? Jesus suffered six hours on the cross (Mark 15:25-33). He was crucified at the 3rd o'clock (9 am) of Jewish time and died around the 9th (3 pm). It is divided into morning and afternoon. The words of Jesus and the words of the people in the morning. The first word of the virtual seven words is the word of the third hour. ‘Father, forgive us. for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34). of people passing by. “If you are the Son of God, save yourself and come down from the cross” (Matthew 27:40). The words of the chief priests and scribes. “He saved others, but he cannot save himself” (Mark 15:31). The essence of the horse is as different as the heavens and the earth.
The words of the soldiers who carried out the crucifixion (十字架刑). “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself” (Luke 23:37). It is a slander of an evildoer who was being executed with Jesus. ‘Are you not the Christ? Save you and us” (Luke 23:37). But there were other evildoers' words. First, he speaks of rebuking his fellows. ‘Do you not fear God, though you are under the same condemnation? We receive a fair reward for our deeds, of course, but there was nothing wrong with this man's deeds' (Luke 23:40-41). Next, I ask you to turn to Jesus. “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom” (Luke 23:42). Two people who met an unfortunate end together at Jesus' side show different reactions like this. This separates eternal life from eternal punishment.
This is the second verse of the virtual seven words. “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43). The third sermon of the seven virtual words is the last sermon in the morning. It is a word that reminds us of the ‘heavenly family’ and makes us think about how important Christianity is to the family (Genesis 2). ‘Look, woman. son” (John 19:26). “Behold, thy mother” (John 19:27). At the sixth hour (noon), darkness fell over the whole land. The darkness continued until the ninth. It was not a natural phenomenon, but a phenomenon that made us think about the spiritual meaning. The fourth word of the seven hypothetical words was written as ‘a loud cry’. ‘Eli, Eli, Lama, Sabachthani’ (Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34). Our Lord of salvation, who met his end on the crucifixion, was a cry for being abandoned even by God.
This is the fifth verse of the virtual seven words. “I am thirsty” (John 19:28). These are the words of the Lord, reminiscent of all thirst in the human world (Isaiah 55:1; John 7:37). This is the sixth verse of the seven virtual words. ‘It is finished!’ (John 19:30). It is the proclamation of the completion of salvation through the Messiah recorded in the Old Testament (Isaiah 53:4-9). This is the seventh verse of the seven virtual words. “Father, into your hands I commit my soul” (Luke 23:46). Before these last words, the curtain that separated the Holy of Holies from the Most Holy was torn in the temple (Luke 23:45). There is a saying of the centurion who was in charge of the execution of the sentence. “Truly he was the Son of God” (Matthew 27:54; Mark 15:39; Luke 23:47). It is at the heart of the redemptive event that took place in Jesus Christ. The ‘way of the cross’ for the salvation of mankind connected heaven and earth in this way (1 Corinthians 1:18).
