what I have
(June 26, 2009) (Acts 3:1~10) (50 chapters/All I have)
People who have a lot of money, good health, good hair, popular, powerful, good-looking... people envy people who have everything they need.
I hope that the members of Kyungil Church will also have many things if possible.
But no one has everything, no matter how much he has.
Conversely, no matter how poor a person may be, there is also no one who has nothing.
* No matter how much he has, he lacks something.
* Even if you don't have anything, that person has something.
What matters is not how much you have.
Do you know how beautifully to use what you have? It is more important to do
*If you have the same 10 million won...
0. Some people will get rid of them by drinking, dancing, and playing.
0. Some people carry them in their pockets and others lose them.
0. Some people will invest and make a profit.
0. Some people will be happy to spend it on something worthwhile.
how much did you have More important than - how to use what you have.
How much do you have???? - How do you use what you have????
1. Don't make excuses for nothing.
Please don't say no, don't know or no.
According to the Bible, there are people who have more than others - they ignore what they have and find only what they don't have, making excuses.
God rebukes those who make excuses for not being there.
1) Jeremiah making excuses.
① It was Jeremiah who had many things.
(Jeremiah 1:5) - “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I consecrated you, and I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” got erected. - He is definitely a person of great grace.
② I made excuses without knowing how to be grateful for what I had.
(Jeremiah 1:6) - "I said, Alas, Sovereign LORD, I do not know how to say that I am a child."
He had everything else, but he couldn't remember what he had - one thing he was not sure about - He said, "I'm not good at talking" and can't do anything.
③ Jeremiah was rebuked while making excuses.
(Jeremiah 1:7) - "The LORD said to me, "Do not say that you are a child; to whomever I send you, you go, and whatever I command you, you must speak."
2) Moses making excuses.
Jeremiah is not alone. Even Moses made excuses by saying he didn't have much.
①Moses was also a man with many things.
I was born into a good family, received court education at the royal palace for 40 years, received religious training in Midian from the age of 40 to 80, and now I am 80 years old - good family, high academics, good faith - finally I have qualified as a leader .
②Moses also turned away from his mission and made excuses.
Even Moses, who had so much that he was almost perfect, pulled out one thing he lacked - how he did it - and made the excuse that he couldn't do anything.
It seems that Moses was also not good at speaking - I don't know how to speak, so I can't do the work that God has entrusted to me.
③Moses also fell in love with God.
You have a brother, Aaron, who can speak well, but if he can't speak, shouldn't he cooperate with him? He scolded me - Only after hearing the rebuke, I came to my senses and obeyed the mission entrusted to me.
Even though Jeremiah and Moses had many good conditions - they were not grateful for what they had - they made excuses about what they did not have, and they were scolded.
2. Make good use of what you have.
Trust that our God has clearly given us what we need - please be faithful with the grace you have received.
1) The widow of Zarephath. (1 Kings 17:8~24)
The woman of Zarephath was a woman who had more things than she had.
*I don't even have a husband. Even food to eat in a famine was on the verge of running out.
*Very little thing left - one last meal left - the only property.
*As the last remaining meal - we served the prophet Elijah.
*As a result - I was blessed that I did not have to worry about eating until the famine was over. He experienced the miracle of raising his sick and dead son back to life.
2) The wife of the prophetess. (2 Kings 4:1~7)
This woman was also a woman who had more things than she had.
*My husband is dead. I sat down on many piles of light that I could not repay. Both children are at risk of being sold into slavery.
*He has only one thing - a bowl of oil - his only possession.
*With a bowl of oil, the only thing he had - He obeyed Elisha the prophet and put it in a large bowl.
*As a result - they experienced the miracle of filling the jars with oil - paid off all their debts and had no children taken away - and lived happily ever after.
3) Peter.
In today's text, listen to the conversation between Peter and the crippled beggar.
* A crippled beggar puts out his hand to grab a bite at the temple gate
*Peter had nothing to give him - no gold, no silver, no money, no bread.
*At the same time, what could Peter give? I thought - what was it? - I could give you the name of Jesus, the love of Jesus, and the power of Jesus.
Peter had no silver, gold, money, or food - but he had faith and gave him love in the name of Jesus.
The result - a beggar who couldn't walk - was a greater gift - than any money earned by anyone - was the joy of standing up, walking, running and entering the temple. - Hallelujah!!!
3. The most precious thing we have.
Dear saints - many people - live in dissatisfaction because they do not know that what they have is precious.
But no matter how many things you don't have, don't complain about them - find what you have and use it.
*The widow of Zarephath used the last form. The dead prophet's wife used the last remaining oil.
Peter didn't even have enough - he has done more than anyone else in Jesus name.
* What are you lacking? Don't even think about finding it.
*What is it?? Please only think.... What is it? ? ? ? ? - Please take advantage of it.
God must have given you a good gift - a person who has time without money, a person with good health, a person with knowledge, and a person with skills - use it to be loyal.
*Even if there is nothing - like Peter - we have faith. It is faith in Jesus.
*Money comes and goes. - But in the name of Jesus, love given by faith - It does not disappear no matter how much you use it.
*Delivering the name of Jesus, saying, “Believe in Jesus,” and things that can be prayed - will not disappear no matter how much you use them - and the most precious work takes place there.
Like Peter - I know that faith in Jesus is the greatest wealth - I pray that you will do many great things with that precious wealth.
