Title: What I Have, I Give You

What I have I give to you (Acts 3:1-10)
Now, the city of Jerusalem was on the verge of being submerged in the tsunami of the gospel by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. There were apostles who were filled with the Holy Spirit at the forefront of the digging of the gospel, and there were many people who received the gospel through those apostles.
At the proclamation of the gospel by Peter and the eleven apostles, they said, “Brothers, what shall we do?” (Acts 2:37), they expressed their desire for forgiveness of sins and salvation. There was also an amazing history of people being baptized.
Meanwhile, Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of my ninth prayer. My 9 o'clock prayer time is today's 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and it was the last prayer time of the third prayer of the day of the pious Jews at the time.
At that time, Peter and John entered through the temple gate called the Beautiful Gate, and at the door they saw a lame man who was always begging. As usual, the cripple begged. Peter and John simultaneously looked at him and shouted, “Look at us.” Then the crippled looked at them with anticipation of mercy.
Then Peter cried out again, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give you... ” (Acts 3:6) and proclaimed to him Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who was in him, giving him the grace of healing and salvation in his name.
Today, we would like to listen to the Lord's command to the young people, using the title of Peter's cry, “What I have, I give you,” and in Greek, “echo tuto soi didomi” (…but What I have I give you).
The lesson the Lord gives to Jishin-in through “What I have, I give you” is…
?? It means that even the young people have something to give to the people of the world.
What is it? In Acts 3:6, today's text says, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give I give in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth," Peter said in Acts 3:6.
Peter said that there is no gold and silver that beggars are now asking for. But he made it clear that he had what he really needed. He said he owned it. Before, he did not know that he had it, but now that he has become a man of the Holy Spirit, he has discovered it. What is it?
It was Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The word Nazareth here means Christ who came to this earth in human form. It means that Jesus who was with him, no, that Jesus who is now with him through the Holy Spirit. And the crippled begging is the Jesus he was familiar with.
Peter said that he had that Jesus now. He said he owns it. He said he had authority in the name of Jesus. He said that he possessed the power of his apology and the effect of his apology.
The surprising thing is that the power, power, and effectiveness of Jesus are always present. Of course, it is the fact that all the gods possess the power and power that comes from that Jesus. Until now, both of you and I have not used the authority and power that came from Jesus, but that power and authority have never disappeared.
The authority and power in the name of Jesus that Peter possessed became the best, greatest, and best charity, gift, and blessing to the lame. It was the force that changed the batting average life into an autonomous life. It has become the ability to change the life of a parasitic who lived attached to others into a life of self. It was the charm that led the life outside the temple to the life inside the temple, and it became the source of life that made the crippled stand, walk, and run. No, more than that, it was a treasure among the treasures that changed the life of death, curses, hell, and eternal punishment into life, thanksgiving, and eternal life.
Today, the Lord is testifying that the Jesuits also possess this treasure. Even though you have that ability, that charm, that treasure, and that life, you have been living with the feeling that you yourself have nothing to give to the world. No, it was the past days when I was desperate for my ego that could not meet the demands of the world. To become a good evangelist, you must first discover what is within you, enjoy it, and experience it yourself. Even Peter and John did not know about it until they were baptized with the Holy Spirit. But now it was different.
We all have everything the world really needs. I hope to become a blessed evangelist who shares according to the needs of the people of the world with the power and authority of Jesus Christ.
?? It is the fact that the Holy Spirit requires that young people pay attention to the world with love and interest.
In Acts 3:4, 5, it says, “Peter paid attention with John and said, ‘Look at us.
Three prayer hours were familiar to the apostles in Jerusalem. And the crippled man sitting at the beautiful gate of the temple begging was also very familiar. Because it has been more than several decades since I begged on the spot.
In today's text, he is said to have "attention to them together." I mean looking at them at the same time. At the same time, I was interested. If so, then there was something that matched their hearts and actions.
If the cripple's begging had been unusual, it might have been. However, the crippled begging was a familiar situation as usual. Even so, if both people expressed that interest at the same time, it means that someone was interested. who is he It was the Holy Spirit who dwelled in the fullness of them.
The Holy Spirit brought both Peter and John to the attention of the lame man. The eyes of Peter and John looking at the request of the Holy Spirit were definitely different from before. Here, Peter and John's attention is written in Greek as 'atenisas', which is the same Greek word as the act of looking at the ascending Lord (Acts 1:10). This means that he did not regard the crippled as merely an object in need of material relief, but regarded him as a person and soul in need of Jesus' mercy just as he did, and looked at him with deep interest. This means seeing him from the perspective of the Holy Spirit.
Such a view of Peter and John was the result of accepting the demands of the Holy Spirit in them. Likewise, even now, the Holy Spirit wants us to look at the unbelieving world with those eyes.
Not only that crippled man, but the rest of the world have been batting average since birth. It is a parasitic life. A life outside the temple, a life outside Jesus. He is a very pitiful man, and he desperately needs someone's help. We must all have eyes that can see the reality of such people right away.
Now we need to know how to count the demands of the Holy Spirit. You have to pity the unbelievers who hang around you. Have you lost your pity because you have been an unbeliever for so long? Or has the very name of an unbeliever become familiar? Or did he give up thinking that it was his destiny to remain an unbeliever because he refused no matter how many times he evangelized? Or is it because of the optimistic future that one day you will believe in Jesus?
Scourge yourself for the fact that your immediate family is still outside of Jesus. And you should pray that the eyes that look at them will be changed first. And I hope that you will count on your faith the demands of the Holy Spirit who still asks you to look at them with compassion and affection and concern.
?? It is the fact that the only thing that fills the lack of people in the world is the gospel.
It is often said that we often think that we have nothing to satisfy the world's needs. That is why I am very shy about preaching the gospel. We also preach the gospel as if we were begging. In reality, however, this is not the case at all. What the world really needs is the gospel, not money.
It was reported the other day that the youngest daughter of Lee Kun-hee, chairman of the Samsung Group, known as Korea's number one conglomerate, committed suicide in the United States. What could have caused him to kill himself for lack of something? He also became a topic of discussion in the public. Many people are blindly convinced that they can only fill their lack with material things. However, even though the fact that material materials cannot fill the gap is revealed as a confession through the mouth of many people, the reality is that they consider themselves as an exception and pursue material things.
Today's text is clearly divided, showing that not gold and silver, but only the gospel through Jesus Christ can fill the lack of the lame. To him, the name of Jesus of Nazareth was “… His feet and ankles immediately gained strength, and he gave them the ability to run and walk, and as they entered the temple with them, they could walk and leap and praise God” (Acts 3:7-8).
In this way, the gospel brings healing power to the sick. It provides abundance and fullness to the poor. It is the power of comfort for the wounded soul. The work of washing away sins is shown to sinners, and eternal life is provided to the dead.
Therefore, even people in this age must believe that the gospel is the necessary and sufficient condition to fill their lack. At that time, your own perception of the evangelist of the gospel will change. In this age, we realize that we really need an evangelist like me. You discover that you are the most valuable thing to your unbelieving family, relatives, and neighbors. That is the most important self-awareness that an evangelist must have.
Dear saints,
I earnestly pray that you will live this autumn as the life of an evangelist by following the Lord's demands.
