Title: What is a successful life?

Contents

1 Kings 3:4-14

──────────────────────

The book introduces three types of people, comparing a person's life to riding a night train. The first was a person named Gap, who had a lot of money, the second person was a person named Eul who helped others through a book, and the third person was a person who was desperately needed to help others. Each person's evaluation is different, but when it comes to who lived a successful life, it can be said that the person called the disease lived a successful life. Living helping others and needing others often leads to better choices in life.

King David died and Solomon became king. The position of a king has a path that the king must walk. Now, Solomon is standing at the crossroads of which direction he will walk as a king.

The king of the world works to make the people work according to his own interests, as Samuel tells the people in the book of Samuel, but he must not depart from the king's word from the Bible and live in complete obedience to it. Deuteronomy 17 is speaking to

In today's text, Solomon became king according to God's promise. It is said that he became king according to the promise between his father David and God. It is said that Solomon became king by the grace of God. The second subject of his prayer is that he does not know which way to go because he is a small child. You are talking about your own shortcomings. The subject of the third prayer is to give him a wise heart how to rule over these people, who have inherited a great nation from his father. At the same time, I am seeking a wise heart.

The wise heart spoken of in the Bible refers to the ear that can hear the word of God. So Solomon wants to become king and have ears to hear the word of God. I want to fear God. I want to live in obedience to the word of God that has been heard. This is the wise mind.

Of these two paths, Solomon obviously did not choose the broad path that the kings of the world take, but the narrow path that God spoke of in Deuteronomy 17, the path of obedience to God's word. But the Bible says something very important. This kind of supplication met God's heart, so God said, 'You did not seek the number that the world often seeks, nor wealth, nor honor, but you sought a wise heart to give you ears to hear God's words. sum up I will give you a wise heart according to your prayer, and no one before you nor after you will be as wise as you. And you ask for a wise heart and give it to you, but I will also give you the capital, wealth, and honor that you did not ask for. Matthew 6:33 did just that. ‘Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.’

Dear saints, the first step in a successful life is to seek a wise heart. That is a successful life. To you, this may seem like a common saying, but it is a key word that guides our lives correctly and successfully. Give me a wise heart to hear the voice of God, this is the first step on the road to success.

But Solomon does not lead a successful life. It is because he left God in his later years hanging out with foreign women. Until God calls, you and I will be more mature today than yesterday and tomorrow than today, and live a precious life that gives glory to God.

God clearly speaks to Solomon. They say, ‘If you continue to serve God zealously like your father David, then your life will be long, and your descendants will continue to ascend to the throne of Israel.’

Dear brothers and sisters, starting today, we start anew every day. So, our success does not end with today, but I bless you in the name of the Lord that our success will continue every day.

There are a few things that are important for that. First, you must do your best. In 2 Timothy 4, the Apostle Paul looks so handsome. ‘I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have won by faith. From now on, Almighty God will give me the crown of righteousness and the crown of victory.’

The heart muscle beats non-stop until the moment a person dies. Even if a person's life is 80, he moves his muscles without any complaints for 80 years. A successful life is the heartbeat pattern. In the name of the Lord, I pray that you and I will continue to work hard for the Lord today and continue working for the Lord until we go to the kingdom of God every day, instead of having a sloppy life tomorrow.
