Title: What is Your Personality? /Matthew 5:5

Contents 1. The original meaning of Onew is as follows. (πραύς)

1. It means not standing on the two extremes.

2. It refers to the mind that controls one's own mind.

3. Adjective (πραύτηϊςprautes) refers to a humble heart.

(Psalm 25:9, 147:6)

2. What kind of person is a meek person?

(Psalm 37:1) Do not grumble over evildoers, and do not envy those who do iniquity (Psalm 37:2) For they will be cut down as quickly as grass, and wither like green plants (Psalm 37:3) Trust in the Lord to do good; dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness (Psalm 37:4), and delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:5) Commit your way to the Lord. (Psalm 37:6) He will do it, and he will make your righteousness shine like the light of the noonday. (Psalm 37:7) Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him, who prospers in his way, and he who accomplishes evil plans. (Psalm 37:8) Curb your anger and forsake your wrath: Do not grumble, for only what is wrong (Psalm 37:9) For evildoers will be cut off, but those who trust in the Lord will inherit the land (Psalm 37). (Psalm 37:11) But the wicked will be gone in a little while, and you will search it carefully, but it will not be found (Psalm 37:11).

1. A meek person is an obedient person. (Genesis 12:, 22:, Luke 5:5)

God trains us, the children of God, not by force, but in order to make people who are useless in the world a blessing.

You can see that the training is training through obedience.

Genesis 12 Abraham's training = Through obedience, he received the grace of being the father of faith before God.

Even though Peter had an urgent God-given personality, he trained him to bring his burning lust and endless passion to a noble purpose, and turned him into a person who works the gospel movement that conquered the world with the gospel.

No one is as cunning and cold as Matthew, but God disciplines him.

He was turned into a person who preached the gospel.

It can be seen that God tamed each of Jesus' disciples to the sanctuary.

To tame does not mean to take away our lusts and powers.

It refers to turning the direction of his power and lust for the good of his innate temperament.

Some of you think, “I have a quick temper, I have a laid-back personality, so I talk about introverts, extroverts, etc.

Just because you believe in Jesus well doesn't mean you lose your impatient personality.

God is not trying to get rid of that hasty character.

I tell you to press down on that hasty personality and change direction so you can do it right.

In some ways, God also trains and uses people who have an impatient personality.

When we turn our dispositions and change them into those who obey God, we are meek.

2..The meek know how to forgive others. (Ephesians 4:2, Titus 3:2)

(Ephesians 4:2) With all humility and gentleness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love,

(Titus 3:2) Remind them to slander no one, do not quarrel, be tolerant, and show meekness to all people in all things.

An eccentric and talkative woman exposed a bad scene on a city bus. The woman swears at the driver as she gets off the bus. The driver spoke to her before closing the door.

"Lady, what are you leaving behind?" the woman stopped on the sidewalk,

"What?" he asked.

"It's a very bad impression," said the driver and closed the door.

Who is unhappy? A person who lives only by the faults of others. He constantly sees flaws.

Who is happy?

Joseph, hated by his brothers and sold to Egypt, became prime minister.

But Joseph did not retaliate against his brothers. There is no evidence in the Bible that he retaliated as Potiphar's wife because he was unfairly imprisoned while resisting the temptations of Potiphar's wife.

Rather, it was not that my brothers sold me over in tears, but that God had saved our family.

On the other hand, Noah, as we know him, was cursed because he was drunk and brought out the shame of his nakedness so that he could not forgive him.

We know well that the other brothers were blessed with the generosity to cover up their father's shame and forgive him.

3. The meek have patience. (James 1:4, Matt 11:29)

Chick

A little boy was squatting in front of the chicken coop.

Inside the chicken coop, the hen lay eggs to lay the chicks.

As the days passed, the little boy grew nervous.

One day, while waiting for the chick to come out, the little boy stole the egg from the hen.

He even broke the egg.

The little boy who thought a chick would come out of the egg was startled.

It was because the chick who had not yet taken shape was dead inside the egg.

You have enough patience to be a complete and mature person, without failing in the slightest.

(James 1:4) Perfect your patience, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in the slightest bit.

It is a fact that I have to be a person who has no intention of rebelling, making excuses, or paying the price of my enemies, even if there are things that are irritating, even if there are hardships, and there are people who slander me.

There is a very important event in the Bible.

(Luke 22:50) And one of them struck the high priest's servant and cut off his right ear (Luke 22:51).

Stay out of this!!! If we practice these words, God will surely bless us.

Even if the other person protests against me and falsely frames me, the Lord tells us. hold on to this

Do you know how pearls are formed? One grain of sand goes into the shell. If coarse grains of sand have entered the soft shell of the shell, how painful and bitter will the shell be?

The painful clams squeeze out the body's sap to envelop the grains of sand and endure the pain. As the year goes by like this, the bright and beautiful pearls are born.

Your suffering is an opportunity to shape the true pearl of your life. Let's all persevere and win.

(Mat 11:29) Take my yoke upon you and give your belly to me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and your hearts will be at rest.

3. The meek become like this. (Psalm 37:1-11)

1. Meekness is a gift from God as a result of regeneration (1 Peter 3:8, James 3:17).

(1 Peter 3:8) Finally, be all of one mind and compassion; love your brother, be compassionate, humble,

(1 Peter 3:9) Do not repay evil for evil or insult for insult, but rather a blessing, to which you were called, that you may inherit a blessing.

(James 3:17) But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, tolerant, docile, full of mercy and good fruit, without partiality and without deceit.

2. He entrusts great things to the meek. (Numbers 12:1-3, Proverbs 16:32)

(Numbers 12:1) Miriam and Aaron blasphemed Moses because Moses had taken a Cushite woman, and he had taken the Cushite woman. (Numbers 12:3) This man Moses was more meek than all men on the face of the earth.

Moses was a short-tempered man with many weaknesses and many sentences. Break the stone plate!! However, God speaks to Moses who has been trained. Moses was more meek than all men on the face of the earth.

Peter = meek disposition,,,,,

Paul was also a quick-tempered and radical person == he saw the light and became a gentle man (as it is natural when Stephen was stoned to death == he died daily, oh wretched man !!! etc.

(Proverbs 16:32) He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his heart is better than he who takes a city.

3. Find the land and enjoy it in abundance. (Psalm 37:11, 1 Peter 3:23)

(Psalm 37:11) But the meek shall possess the earth, and they shall rejoice in abundant peace.

(Psalm 37:12) The wicked plot against the righteous, and grind their teeth against them.

There was a story like this in the old school textbooks.

The wind and the sun had a contest to take off a stranger's coat. First came the wind. No matter how strong the wind was, the wind could not take the man's coat off. The stronger the wind, the more the man opened his coat.

Then it was the turn of the sun. The sun lifted the clouds and the warm sun was shining. The person who was wearing a coat said, "What's the weather like this?" and took off his coat.

Here we see the amazing power of meekness. A meek person takes possession of a person's heart. The meek conquer the earth. The meek will be able to enjoy God's inheritance.

A meek person is one who knows how to forgive and be generous with others.

1. Grant me a meek disposition so that we may obey, forgive, and persevere!

2. Change into a gentle disposition so that you can take on God's work!

3. May you be blessed with meekness and enjoy (enjoy)!
