Title: What to Pray? (Mt 06:9-15)
Content Prayer is the breath of believers and a conversation with our Father in Heaven. Many people often say that I do not know how to pray, but behind that statement is the meaning that I do not know how to pray. You can't tell how much more touching than an adult who prays wisely with good sentences when a young Sunday school student puts his hands together and prays innocently as if he were speaking to mom and dad. Today, let's learn together through the Lord's Prayer about what to pray for, not how to pray with words.
1. Prayer to be set free from original sin: Relationship with God The original word for sin is “hamali”, which means to miss the target and miss the mark. In other words, it means that human beings created by God live centered on themselves even though they should live centered on God. As a result, it means only becoming a prisoner of terrible selfishness. Selfishness full of covetousness is the root of all human evils today. Therefore, the most important thing we pray for is 1) Sanctify the name of God. Destroy the human Tower of Babel/ Respect the original sin of man (Genesis 11:4).
2) Come into the kingdom/Goal of your earthly life The Christian view of history is eschatological (Rev 21:11, 2 Peter 3:12-13).
From humanism, which is the result of original sin, to neo-capitalism. 3) Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
(1) Matthew 26:39 “But not as I will, but as you will” (2) When I try to do my family, business, and my entire life according to my own will, I stumble. When I came into this world, I came empty-handed, so nothing is mine, everything is a gift from God. Therefore, present it before God.
2. Prayer for life: health, occupation, work, rest....1) The necessity of prayer for food - daily necessities
3. Forgiveness: You are saved once, but you must be forgiven always. 1) As we forgive our sinners 2) Forgive us our sins
4. External struggle1) Do not lead us into temptation (1) destructive temptation (2) constructive temptation 2) only deliver us from evil-The devil's evil cannot be overcome by our own strength (Conclusion): Prayer is the life of faith to be. Therefore, if you know how to pray and what to pray for, the believer's faith will grow day by day.
