Title: What to Teach Your Children?

Contents

right education

There was a father who had a son who did not study terribly. My grades kept dropping to the point where I couldn't go down any further. I watched my son studying next to him and tried tutoring him with tweezers at an expensive price, but his son's grades kept dropping. One day, the upset father threatened his son like this. "You bastard! If your grades drop again this time, let's cut ties with the family altogether. At that time, I thought he wasn't my son. Okay?" The son nodded nervously at his father's words. Finally, the day has come to receive the report card. When he ran into his son from school, the father asked impatiently. "Hey, how's your grades?" Then the son looked at his father with a puzzled expression and said, "Who are you, Mister?"

Parents always want their children to do well. Which parent wants their child to perish, and who wants their child to be wrong? How many parents live on this earth for their children?

General Douglas MacArthur's <Prayer for Children>, a hero of World War II and a successful commander of the Incheon Landing, is famous. "Lord! Raise my children like this. Give me the strength to discern myself when I am weak and the courage to not lose myself when I am afraid, to be calm and not ashamed of honest defeat, to be meek and humble in victory Raise me as a child who can... omit... Do not be stubborn when thinking, but raise me up to be a child who knows the Lord and knowing oneself is the beginning of knowledge! Raise them as children. And always remember that great things are simple, true wisdom is openness, and true strength is meekness! Then, as a father, I will dare to confess: <My life was never in vain. >Go.." General MacArthur, who enjoyed medals, respect, and honor through numerous wars, later wrote this. "Of the many medals I have received, and the many privileges I have enjoyed, the noblest is the fact that I was a father. I will not exchange this privilege for any other privilege."

On the other hand, I introduce an article written by a boy in the sixth grade of an elementary school. "My father is always very angry. When he comes home from work, he shouts from the front door, 'Look at the shoes here, straighten them out!', 'I watered the pots here, I didn't!' He comes into my house every day. It's like this every day. It's so moving that he finds out all kinds of problems, such as when the house is full or the mailbox is full. Stop chattering and eat rice!'

In fact, educating children in this way leads to inflexibility, lack of self-confidence, and often overlooking others. Furthermore, interpersonal relationships are impaired. Excessive repression can easily stifle children's creativity and flexibility of thinking. This cannot be called proper child education. However, there is a worse education for children than this. It is parents who are completely indifferent to their children's lives. Another thing is to neglect your children while looking at them in the wrong way. Children who have gone through this growth process do not learn the things they really need to learn from their father, so they act out of common sense or cause problem behaviors to get other people's attention.

A good education for your children

Even in the Bible, there are people who fail to educate their children. Unexpectedly, the father Eli, who appears in today's text, is a typical type of person. He is a man who failed as a father after neglecting his children without any interest in them.

Eli had two sons, Hophni and Phinehas. They were in an important position to take on the priesthood after their father's future generations, but they were reduced to worthless because of their deeds. They were the chosen ones. But he himself gave up on that choice. They were descended from a proud family. But he himself gave up that honor. What kind of son these two sons were is very clearly written in 1 Samuel 2:12 as delinquents. Why did they become like this? The decisive cause is also said in 1 Samuel 2:12, "They did not know the Lord." what do you mean? It is a story of no faith. It means that they were sons who did not live a proper life of faith. This is a conclusive story. It means that Eli failed to educate his children in the faith as a father. Everyone, no matter how good your family is, what do you do? If you don't have faith, you're a mess. What do you do when your honor shines bright? Honor without faith is just bluff.

Faith is what we experience and realize in the midst of walking with God in our day-to-day life and struggling to live in harmony with God's Word. What do you teach your children? We need to develop the self-reliance of faith so that our children can realize and build a relationship with God. This is education. Some parents say this to their children. "Hey, I go to church and pray, serve, and donate even for your share, so you guys should keep the Sunday in moderation, donate in moderation and live comfortably" Or, on the other hand, say, "You're going to church well, so we'll have to pray a lot for our family!" . It's an amazing story. This is a curse, not a blessing. It is a story about believing in moderation and going to the kingdom of God in moderation. The problem, however, is that the kingdom of God is not a place to have it in moderation. The kingdom of God is a place to go when you are certain. What should I be sure of? The kingdom of God is the place to go when you have certain faith.

Today, Eli failed in this religious education. I regret it now, but it's too late. Eli was 98 years old, blind and unable to see, too old to rebuke, and with no influence. No matter what I say, I am now in a position to hear from my children, "Old people nagging a lot." A common judgement of bad children is that they ignore their parents when they grow old and lose their strength. But what is frightening is the fact that God severely evaluates the reasons for Eli's failure in educating his children. If you look at 1 Samuel 2:29, it says, "You have cherished your sons more than I did." The meaning of these words is that they knew that they were clearly erring religiously, but they thought their children were precious and left them alone.

Thorough faith check

Parents, check your children's faith once more now. It means whether you are tithing properly and whether you are doing well on the Sunday holy water. Saying 'I'll take care of you' is not love, but a lack of interest. Also, 'It's okay because I'm good as a parent' is ruining the children. If you fail in religious education, everything will collapse. Proverbs 13:24 contains the basics of educating children. ?e who cannot reach the end of the world hates his child, but he who loves his child is diligent in discipline.??Please know that 'the whip of discipline' and 'the rod of love' must be present in the education of your children. In our society today, this has become a stumbling block. So I made all the patients. Prince's disease and princess disease are not the only ones.

Here is an article to introduce. There are also types of princesses. Snow White hyung who said he would not eat apples because he thought he would die if he ate only apples, Cinderella hyung who said he would become anxious after 12 pm, Audrey Hepburn hyung who said he would like to spend a holiday in Rome sometimes, Princess Nakrang hyung who said he wanted to rip a drum when he saw a fool There are various types, such as Princess Pyeonggang. But why the hell did this princess disease come about? It is not a disease that suddenly appeared one day. These are the latent consciousnesses of our society. This is a pain in today's society. We must not let our children suffer from the princess disease of faith. Even if you concede other things, please educate your children on principles that are certain as far as faith is concerned. God's judgment is now falling on Eli's family, who were so indifferent to their children's education. The covenant is broken and the family is punished. What good is honor and wealth then?

Dear all! As we celebrate Children's Day today, I must ask you one thing. Please don't brag about your family. Faith comes first. Without the education of faith, we will face extinction overnight. Do not risk your life on honor rather than faith. The way for children to really thrive is to stand up as a believer without shame. If you didn't know, you will protect it from today, and if you know you have walked the path of failure, I hope you can realize it today by watching the fall of Ellie's family. May we have the religious determination to teach our children not to come to the point of self-cursing.
