Title: What Will Fill My Tummy?

Bible Text: Ezekiel 2:8-3:3
What will fill my stomach?
A certain saint went to the mountains to gather herbs. While searching for medicinal herbs, I saw a tiger taking a nap. “Lord, protect me from the tiger!” When I opened my eyes after praying, I saw that the tiger was also kneeling down in a prayer pose. It was so strange that I said, “Tiger, what are you doing now?” “Yes, I prayed.” “You mean you believe in God too?” “Yes, I believe in God” “What did you pray?” “I also ate,” I passed out when I heard those words. A ship has no conscience, but if a tiger prays, will it be revived?
There is a saying, “The one who fills my stomach is the one who truly loves me.” What will fill my stomach? Filling it with “ㄸ” makes it “ㄸ”, and filling it with meat doubles the meat.
There are people who want to fill their stomachs with nutmeg.
The second son in the story of the prodigal son that Jesus spoke of wanted to fill his stomach with the fruit of the wormwood. He said to his rich father. Please give me the property that will return to me out of my father's property. My father gave it to me. The son took possession of his property and went to a faraway country, and after lavishing and destroying all his possessions, there was a great famine in that country. Among the people of that country, I went to a pig-herding house to work, and I was very hungry. He wanted to fill his stomach with swine-eaten nuts, but no one gave him anything to eat (Luke 15:16).
His misfortune began when he left his father's house. Wealth turned into poverty. A famine met in a distant country was a harsh punishment. The pain he suffered from the famine made him think of his father's house. If he hadn't been in need, he wouldn't have thought of his father's house. He was a renegade from God. When a train deviates from the track, it is natural for an accident to occur.
As the saying goes, “It is good for me that I have been afflicted” (Psalm 119:71), I realized that I had become poor and needy and helped me to turn back. Sinners who will perish are hesitant to leave a distant country. A distant landowner tormented the pig herders with harsh cruelty and starvation.
Great to have thought of leaving there in hunger and loneliness. He entered a distant country, but did not become a citizen of that country. It was not regarded as an eternal dwelling place. “How many laborers my father has enough bread. I die of hunger here. I got up and went to my father and said, ‘Father, I have sinned against you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. You will see me as one of the servants.” He returned to his father.
What did your father do? He slaughtered a fattened calf and held a feast for his son who had returned. If you leave your father's house, you will not be able to fill your stomach even with the nutmeg. In my father's house, the food is plentiful and there is fat veal. Repentance is the correct recognition of one's condition. It is to grieve over one's own condition. If you turn and repent, the days of joy will return. Realizing your folly, you decide to return to your Father, and you act on your commitment. Repentance is urgent. It is to turn one's entire being to God. In other words, moving from the tiger kingdom to the lion kingdom.
“Why do you give silver for things that are not bread, and labor for things that do not satisfy you? Hear me and listen to me. And ye shall eat the good, and shall find pleasure in the fat” (Isaiah 55:2). Every word that comes out of the mouth of God is food.
There are people who want to fill their stomachs with scrolls.
In the Bible we read today, there is a person who eats a scroll. The scroll refers to the words of the Bible. God said to Ezekiel, “...Open your mouth and eat what I give you, and I saw one hand stretched out toward me, and there was a scroll in it. And he opened it before me, and outside it was written, and the words of lamentations and lamentations and calamities were written” (2:8-10).
God said to Ezekiel, “Listen to what I say to you.” What God is saying is, eat the scroll. It is to unite the Word and myself so that they become flesh and bones by eating the Word. We must eat the Word of God. You have to build a spiritual body. To do God's work, we must eat the Word of God. Believing in God is God's work. You cannot do God's work without eating the Word.
The scroll is in God's hand (1:26). The scroll that Ezekiel should eat is the word from God Himself.
God did not give Ezekiel the scroll in his hand, but put it in his mouth. “Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it” (Psalm 81:10). A young swallow sits in a nest. When the mother brings food, the chicks only need to open their mouths. The mother puts the food in her mouth.
At the Last Supper, Jesus broke bread to his disciples and said, “Take and eat. This is my body.” He also took the cup, gave thanks and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you” (Matthew 26:26-27).
When Jesus died, He gave Himself, the bread of life. “I am the bread of life; I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever. The bread I will give is my flesh for the life of the world” (John 6:48,51).
When Elijah was in despair and was sleeping under a rosemary tree, an angel came to him, touched him, and told him to get up and eat. When he got up, he found a loaf of bread and a bottle of water lying on his bedside. Eat, drink and sleep again. The angel of the Lord came again and touched him, saying, “Get up and eat, lest you overcome the road.” So he got up, ate and drank, and, relying on the power of that plant, walked forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mountain of God (1 Kings 19:5-8). ).
Ezekiel ate the scroll. “I opened my mouth, and he fed me the scroll, and said to me, Son of man, put this scroll I am giving you into your stomach and fill your intestines.” So I ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth” (Ezekiel 3: 2-3)
“The sweet and mysterious word, the word of life, is the precious word. Truly, the word of life reveals my way and faith clearly. Beautiful and precious word, a fountain of life. Beautiful and precious word, a fountain of life.”
“How sweet are your words to me, and sweeter than honey to my mouth.” (Psalm 119:103) I hope you will taste and know the word of God and live with that knowledge and that wisdom and that energy.
There are people who fill their stomachs with living water and the living water gushes out.
Jesus was sitting by a well, resting, when a Samaritan woman came out to draw water. Jesus asked him for a drink, and the woman said, “Why are you a Jew, asking for a drink of me, a Samaritan woman?” At that time, Jews had no dealings with Samaritans. Then Jesus said, "If you had known the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water." It will become a spring of water springing up within you to eternal life.” “The woman said, “Lord, give me such water, so that I will not be thirsty or come here to draw water” (John 4:7-15).
The woman called Jesus “Lord”. She had a recognizable eye. Seeing Jesus and hearing His words, I felt that he was the Messiah prophesied by the prophet. “Lord, give me such water so that I will not be thirsty.”
Living water is living water. Dead water is dead water, and dead water is rotten water. It's always stagnant. Living water is water that rises and moves and flows. Without living water, the soul cannot be satisfied. The water that springs from the throne of the Lamb Jesus is living water. Only living water satisfies the soul.
The reason that the Garden of Eden constitutes an earthly paradise is because there was a spring of water gushing out of it. Since there was water from the source and it was watering the garden, a dense forest was formed. The living water fertilizes the earth, producing things pleasing to the eyes and good to eat.
“Joseph is a lush branch, a lush branch by a spring, whose branch has crossed the wall. It is from the God of your father, and he will bless you, blessings from heaven above and from fountains below” (Genesis 49:22-25).
“On the last day of the feast, on the great day, Jesus stood up and cried, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink, and whoever believes in me, as the scripture says, out of his belly will flow rivers of living water. He spoke of it” (John 7:37:39).
Jesus cried out in a loud voice. People took notice of him in amazement. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink!” Whoever believes in me, out of his belly will flow rivers of living water! You did. You must fill your stomach with living water. I have to drink bottled water to fill my stomach with bottled water. To believe in Jesus is to receive Him. To receive is to believe. Only when you believe in Jesus will living water spring out of you. It means that living water springs from Jesus only when Jesus is in me. Living water is the source of abundant life. The purpose of thieves is to kill and destroy, but Jesus came so that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
I couldn't eat lunch, and the stomach on my back squeaked and screamed. There is a saying, “When my stomach is full, thanksgiving for peace is like a nephew”. It means eating is the best. When you're full, the next thing to do is dance.
What will fill my stomach? Will you leave God and live on the fruit of the mouse? The church is the Father's house. Leaving the church leads to depravity and misery. Please return to God like a returned son. In my father's house, everything is plentiful. God is waiting for you today. God is holding the scroll. He tells you to open your mouth. You put it in your mouth. May you be filled with the bread of the word and gain strength. When you fill with bottled water, bottled water comes out. During Noah's Flood, it rained for 40 days, causing water to flow from the ground. When the rain of grace overflows, the spring of water bursts. May you overflow with grace upon grace. If you drink too much and vomit, you will get alcohol. May the living water burst out of your stomach and become a river.
