Title: When I'm in the Most Painful Place
Contents 1. Vision of prayer and praise
Dear saint! Vision is hope. Let's sing and pray in the most painful times. Prayer and praise are visions that hold hope in our hearts. Paul and Silas were imprisoned for preaching the gospel. They prayed and praised God even in prison. However, the result was a vision for a family. Paul and Silas preached the gospel, and a jailer's family was saved.
First, can we pray and sing praises like Paul and Silas? (Acts 16:19-25).
Personal suffering is an opportunity for another hope.
By the power of God, Paul cast out the demon that was holding the slave girl. When the slave girl's masters realized that the source of income had been cut off, they dragged Paul and Silas before the officials. They accused Paul and Silas of being troublemakers in the city. He accused them of preaching customs that the Romans could not receive and practice. At this, the crowd became very angry and had Paul and Silas torn their clothes off and beat them badly. After being beaten, the feet of Paul and Silas were stocked, and they were imprisoned in a deep prison. But at about midnight, the sounds emanating from the prison were not moans or curses, but prayers and hymns. Christians are those who know how to pray and sing praises even in the most painful times. Such a life is the Christian life of power. Do you look to God and sing praises when you face difficulties? Or do you look at your environment and complain?
Second, will you believe in the Lord Jesus until the end? (Acts 16:26-34).
Let us believe in the Lord Jesus to the end in all circumstances and under any circumstances.
The earthquake that shook the courthouse awoke the jailer and found the prison door open. Seeing this scene, the jailer pulled out his sword to commit suicide because of his responsibility. At this time, Paul stopped self-determination by saying that they were still there. The jailer asked for fire, ran into the prison, took Paul and Silas outside, and seriously heard the way of salvation, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and inquired. Paul and Silas explained that believing in Jesus as Lord was the way to salvation, and the jailer took this message with joy. Here we could see that the resurrected Lord continued to place His workers in various situations and work through them. In what kind of situation are the saints these days carrying out the mission the Lord has given them?
Dear saint! The Lord's help continued, and Paul and Silas were released from prison. Paul and Silas came out of prison and comforted the other brothers who had prayed for him. In retrospect, it is a hope and a vision. Therefore, my pain becomes the power to comfort others. Talking about the Lord's work so far must have given the saints great comfort. Let's remember that the Lord has given us every situation as a place for our mission. -Amen-
