Title [2011] When I Have a Body
Contents
(Hebrews 5:7-10)
Second, we must pray. There is a representative prayer of Jesus recorded in the Gospels. In Matthew 4, we fasted for 40 days in the wilderness, in Mark 1:35 he went to a quiet place at dawn, and he prayed in the early morning, in Luke 6:12, he prayed all night, and in Luke 22, he finally prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane We must pray while looking at the prayer of Jesus, who prayed. Even Jesus, who does not need to pray, prayed and set an example for us so that we could understand the necessity of prayer. He even taught the Lord's Prayer. Where is that? He allowed us to use a name higher than that of the angels in prayer. John 14:14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. We draw closer to God through prayer. You can resist the devil through prayer. Through prayer, we become powerful saints.
Third, we must live reverently. Do you want answers to prayers? Buy reverently. Do you want to draw close to God? Buy reverently. Has the Holy Spirit of God come upon you? Buy reverently. Christians should be the protagonists of change, not swept away by the waves of the world. Seth lived a godly life and continued the line of Adam. Enoch also lived a godly life and was lifted up without seeing death. Noah also lived reverently, prepared an ark, and his family was saved. A godly life is the basis of the saints. Put off the old self and put on the new one. (Ephesians 4:22-24) Living a godly life requires serving God well, fearing judgment, and respecting God.
Fourth, we must learn to be obedient. Verse 8, Jesus, his son, also learned obedience through what he suffered and became perfect. Verse 9, Jesus became the source of eternal salvation because he obeyed. Verse 10, He became a priest after the order of Melchizedek. Obedience is lowly, but God exalts and exalts us when we obey to humble ourselves. Even in the church, those who serve are those who are exalted in the sight of God. Self-exaltation is a satanic appearance. From now on, I hope you will have the image of humbly obedient faith. Obedience can be hardship or hard work, but the fruit is 100% blessing.
