Title: When I Heared Those Words, I Wept

Contents

Subject: I Wept When Hearing Those Words

Text: Genesis 50:15-17

I have one older sister above and one younger sister below.

My sister lives in Ilsan, Korea, my sister lives in LA, USA, I live here in Calgary, Canada, and my mother lives in Yeomchang-dong, Korea.

So, the whole family is scattered.

Still, me, my sister, and my younger sister all got married, had children, and lived with their families, but in the case of my mother, after her father passed away last year, she is now living alone in an apartment of 32 pyeong. Not long ago, living alone in a large house was lonely, so I was thinking of moving to a small apartment.

Even though Chuseok was approaching, I called my mother a while ago.

"Mother, aren't you lonely living alone? You should come here soon and buy with us."

Then my mother told me what she always did. "What's lonely about being lonely? I haven't been to Canada there? I like it better here. to do

"No, but still, if you live alone, it's dangerous because of your age, and if something urgent happens, you'll be embarrassed, embarrassed, and look bad, so you should come here soon, right?"

Then my mother suddenly said to me, my son, 'Thank you.' When I heard that, I suddenly lost my mind and my head was pounding.

After hanging up, I cried secretly while remembering my mother's words of 'thank you'. "No, my parents devoted their lives to me and took care of me, and even now they are taking care of me as I grow older. How can I thank my son for saying, 'You must live together because you are lonely?'

Compared to my parents' grace, a single word from me would be less than a drop of water in the Pacific Ocean, so what are you thankful for? It's only natural for a grown son to protect his elderly single mother and live with him, and since he put so much effort and love into his son, he deserves a reward. It became so shabby and I cried a lot thinking, "I'm not the only one!"

Everyone, do you know the heart of your parents?

When we give our children a million love and receive only one love from their children, we bow our heads in front of them and look at ourselves, which we cannot reach. ?

In Korea, not so long ago, there were many scenes like this.

Her husband passed away early and her children were raised by a single mother, but there was not much food to eat. Still, in order to raise her children well, the mother sold a bag outside to earn money to send her children to school, and, although not very good, to buy clothes for her, and try to feed her children no matter what.

However, one day, the business did not go well, and the rice to eat was running out. Still, in order not to starve her children, the mother finds rice from where she prepares the table, and then does not sit by her side while sewing.

Young children say, "Mom, aren't we eating together?" When asked, "Yeah, Mom came out to eat. Eat a lot, you guys." ' replied the mother.

When I was a child, I thought it was true, but as I got older, grew older, and became a parent, I realized that what my mother said was not true.

Even if they starve themselves, there are often people who realize the heart of their parents trying to feed their children, and then weep in gratitude for the grace.

And there were many such landscapes in Korea before.

Here in Canada, when you eat an apple, you eat it with the peel, but in Korea, you usually eat it with the peel.

A poor family had several apples, and her mother was cutting them. The little children were drooling next to them, eagerly waiting for the peels of the apples to be peeled off. Finally, the skins of the apples are peeled off, and the children are arguing that they will eat each other a lot.

One of the children thought to myself, "Should my mom eat it too?" And I said, "Yeah, Mom likes skins." I was chewing with the peel in my mouth while I was doing it. A young child who saw it said, "My mother seems to like apple peels very much!" and collected only the peels of apples and said, "Mom, eat all of this!" and handed it over.

But later, as this young child grew older and matured, she realized her mother's heart and cried endlessly.

Everyone, in today's text, there is a saying, "Joseph wept when he heard that." As you know, Joseph lived a tumultuous life.

At the age of 17, he was hated by his half-brothers, and he was trafficked and taken into slavery in Egypt. And he was framed unfairly and spent several years in prison abroad.

From a human point of view, Joseph was a man who was bitterly resentful toward his brothers.

But Joseph forgave his brothers, gave them food, and provided a good place for their families to live, so that they could survive the famine and give them grace.

Joseph became a good-hearted man, of course, not only because he was a man of God, but also because he was a filial son who thought deeply about his parents.

Think about it. If your parents are still alive and you kill or hurt your half-brother because of the old grudges, wouldn't you nail your parents' hearts?

However, Joseph's father, Jacob, passed away. Then Joseph's brothers said, "Now that my father is also dead, will he not harm us?" Fearful, he went to Joseph and spoke to him. "Joseph, before your father died, he commanded, saying, 'Thus you shall say to Joseph. If your brothers did evil to you, now I hope you forgive them for their transgressions and sins.' did it."

Then the brothers came to Joseph and said, "Forgive us!" When Joseph heard this, he wept.

Everyone, why did Joseph cry?

If you have reached the maturity of your faith, I hope that each of you put Joseph in the position and think about why Joseph wept.

Also, if you are in Joseph's position, think about whether I will be able to shed tears like Joseph in such a situation.

Everyone, have you ever cried when you heard the word of God? God's grace and love are so great. Have you ever cried out loud after realizing why He gave such great grace and love to a sinner like me and the heart of God who sacrificed his only begotten Son to save me?

For those who have never raised children, it may not sound very realistic that God gave his only begotten Son. But parents who have raised children know what it means to give an only begotten son.

And he is well aware of the heart of God who sacrificed his only begotten Son.

Guys, change your position and think about it.

My one and only child, so pure, so pure, without a spot, without a spot, was crucified and said, "Father, I am thirsty. Father, why have you forsaken me?" What must be the heart of Heavenly Father, who is a parent, who is watching the scene, tearing his body and bleeding and dying?

Perhaps he did not look at the scene properly and wept and wept. And in the end, you must have suffered the heartbreak and tear.

And when we realize this kind of Heavenly Father's heart, "Oh, how much Heavenly Father's heart hurt at that time?" and tears flowed down.

Ladies and gentlemen, as children grow old and mature, they realize the heart of their parents and shed tears in gratitude for the grace. Shouldn't we also believe in God and understand the heart of our Heavenly Father?

And when we realize His heart, won't we go forward sacrificing ourselves to accomplish Heavenly Father's will with tears of gratitude and tears of repentance?

One day, Jesus and his disciples were invited to a Pharisee's house to eat.

At that time, a woman who was a sinner came to Jesus and stood at Jesus' feet, crying profusely. The people who had gathered there were very surprised to see a woman suddenly bursting into tears.

The woman wet Jesus' feet with her tears, then washed Jesus' feet with her hair, kissed them, and anointed them with perfume.

People may have thought this woman had gone crazy. However, this woman's tears were crying endlessly after realizing the grace of Jesus, just like a child growing up to understand the heart of their parents and cry.

And the tears of this woman, who deeply realized the grace and love of Jesus, touched Jesus' heart deeply, and Jesus recorded the story of this woman's tears in the Bible.

Gentlemen, the difference between humans and animals is in awareness.

You are a good person if you realize that you are grateful to your parents, to God, and to Him, to whom you should be grateful, and to cry and thank Him.

And these tears of realization not only warm the heart of God, but also make us better saints and better children, and make us true children and true saints who sacrifice ourselves for our parents and God.

And only when there are saints with such a pure heart, the kingdom of heaven will be established.
