Title: Where Are All Good Things?
Where is the content good for everything?
Gal 6:6-10
Dear brothers and sisters, what do you like the most about your possessions? Then, for whom and where are you mainly using those good things? And have you counted the consequences of my life?
A couple of woodcutters cut down a root of wild ginseng that is hundreds of years old. I was really happy. But a problem arose. Since there is only one root, who should eat it? Of course, the husband should eat, the wife thought. The husband was overjoyed to be able to feed such a rare medicine to his frail wife. However, the person who ate it earlier was the sickly son who was born at the end of the day. Are there any parents who want to raise their sons strong? The son grew up and became a strong man. One late autumn, the strong son carried his old parents on his back and buried them deep in the mountains. It was Goryeojang. It was filial piety to the parents who raised them strong by feeding them the most precious and best things.
Do you think this was the custom and fate of that time? Where do I put my purpose in life today? What do you use the most valuable and precious things for? It is not an issue to be overlooked. “Why do you give silver for things that are not bread, and labor for things that cannot be satisfied?” (Isaiah 55:2) He cares and is vigilant. Today, let's learn how to use the good things that we have, for what purpose and for what purpose, through the Word, reflect on our life, and clearly establish the direction we should go, so that we can become the most valuable and precious saints in our lives.
Dear brothers and sisters, let's listen to what God commands us to do. “He who has been taught, let him share all good things with those who teach the Word” (verse 6). To put it bluntly, do not turn away from the servants of God who teach the Word, but do all good things together. All good things, the best things I have, share them with those who teach the Word. That is the Word. Those who do not share what I have with what I have used up, what I have eaten, what is sick or what is not, but the best, the most precious, or whenever there is a good thing, strive to have something good, and teach the Word with it Share it with that word. Did it bring you trouble? Give me joy now. Did it bring you pain? So now give me peace. Not interested? Now share with me the most precious thing in my life. He teaches us that this is the attitude of our Heavenly Father toward those who teach the Word.
Dear brothers and sisters, have you ever thought a little about why God commands you like this? First, Heavenly Father especially values and cares for those who teach the Word. If you read the Old Testament, Israel must give up their city to the Levites. You must also feed them with tithing. Why? Because he cared for the servants of God. Especially for the descendants of Aaron, who offer sacrifices and teach the law, we should share them as something more precious and good. They had to make good clothes and put them on, and they made them eat holy food. Otherwise, it was a sin, an evil deed, and forsaking the house of God (Nehemiah 13:10).
There is a bigger and more important reason than that. “Be obedient and subject to those who lead you. They watch for your souls as they are those who will give account. Let them do this with joy, not with sorrow. Otherwise, it is of no benefit to you.” (Hebrews 13:17) God’s words to share with those who teach are all good things are “for your benefit,” that is, for my benefit.
Brothers and sisters, what benefits come when those who receive instruction share with those who teach all good things? Many of those who hear and learn the Word of God fall into the wrong path. If you look at most of them, they are people who have not shared all the good things. Look at those who despise the teachers, slander them, and hand over their pain. Most of them are corrupted and fall by the wayside. Judas Iscariot wanted to enjoy all the good things on his own. I stole money. has fallen. The result was death. Although they were taught by Jesus, instead of sharing good things with them, they became self-deceivers and went astray. In the end, he didn't sow the word from Jesus, who taught the word, but he sown for his own body and reaped the corruption from the flesh.
Dear brothers and sisters, if I have decided to live my life for the glory of God, if I have decided to love God with all my heart and with all my life, focus only on learning the Word. One of the ways is to share all good things with those who teach the Word. Not only can we receive eternal life from the Holy Spirit, but we can also live by the Holy Spirit. Even more so if the word doesn't come in...
