Title: Where Are We?
Example) Belshazzar, the last king of the Babylonian Empire, drank alcohol with 1,000 nobles and perished that night. (Daniel 5:30-31) What state are we (I) now?
I. Let us examine our own behavior
“We Investigate Our Behavior” “Investigate Our Behavior” - Looking at Life
- We need lighting to see what state our life is in. It's like putting your face in front of a mirror.
1. How will you look?
① Illuminate with the Bible. It is always necessary to illuminate the light of the word
② Illuminate yourself. You may need others too, but you should investigate yourself.
2. What will be illuminated?
① state
② is the direction
3. Why do you do this?
- Let's read Psalm 13:4-5. “I am afraid that my enemy… When I tremble... I want to be happy.”
① For me to stand right
② In order not to give the joy of victory to the enemy devil
II. Let us return to Jehovah
"U.S … Let's go back to the Lord.” - Look and correct if you are wrong.
The word “return” is a relationship with God rather than a place
Example) Jacob lived in Succoth for livestock rather than for his promise to God, but realized his mistake and went up to Bethel.
- Saints, where is your Bethel? Aren't you procrastinating in your hometown?
Jacob gathered all the wrong things, buried them in the ground and left.
- Why did you ask and leave? ① He blocked the passage of Satan's forces.
② To remove obstacles and enjoy climbing.
Ⅲ. Let's raise our hearts and hands to God
- Let's read verse 41. What does it mean to “lift up our hearts and our hands together to God in heaven”? Return to God and give yourself to God.
① To ‘lift’ to God means surrender
② With longing, the direction of the heart is directed toward God.
③ Pray to God. “A man’s prayer is not answered unless he puts his soul into his hand” (Talmud).
④ Dedicate your heart and life to God. Are you committed to something worthwhile?
“Give me the man of God/ the man whose faith rules his heart
Give me the man of God/ give me the man whose tongue touches heavenly fire
Give me the man of God / Give me the man of strength
Give me a man of God/ A man faithful to his vision” (Jeorge little)
Brothers and sisters, in what condition are we? Are you not lacking in God's scales? We must let faith rule our lives and our country. Let's make it a nation with enough people in God's scales.
