Title: Where Are You Standing?
Content: e="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; LINE-HEIGHT: 21px; FONT-FAMILY: 'Gullim'; COLOR: #000000; FONT-SIZE: 13px"> This text is about the Israelites who complained and resented God and Moses. After being bitten by a snake and begging for forgiveness, God instructed Moses to make a bronze serpent and tie it to the end of a large pole. And whoever looks at it is a story that has come to life.
What lessons do we learn from this verse?
1. Broken heart is a problem.
If your broken heart is not healed, you will resent and complain.
Verse 4 says, “The people were broken by the way.” God is the one who knows and guides our lives.
But the path is that it is not suitable. Complaining that it's not the way I want it to be.
But remember, everyone. It is a fact that God never leaves the path alone and is with him. When you have this kind of faith, you will change from a place of resentment and complaint to a place of gratitude.
2. Resentment is a problem.
The people of Israel complained that they had led them out of Egypt.(:5) In other words, they disliked what they had saved. The result of this resentment and complaint is that he met a fire snake and died. When you lose gratitude and resent, that resentment comes back to you like a boomerang. Resentment and complaints have the nature of hurting not only themselves but also others. That is why we must not lose our gratitude.
3. Boredom is a problem.
In verse 5, the Israelites say, “I hate this trivial food.” This means that boredom (倦怠) has come about God's food. It is saying that manna is insignificant even though it is food given by God. Even though we believe in Jesus and become the people of Heaven, if we miss the exciting things in the world and are unable to break the bad habits of the world, that is the place where the fiery serpent was bitten. People bitten by snakes cannot have an improvement in their faith. Now, your taste buds have changed and you should be able to trivialize the things you used to enjoy. And it should be fun to have a happy life of faith and listen to God's word. I also hope that the time of praise will be a time of joy.
Therefore, our mission is to raise the pole so that people from afar can see it. We must testify of Jesus to those who do not know Him in the world. I pray in the name of the Lord that they will become people of faith who pray that they will become the people of salvation through you.
