Title: Where the Spirit of the Lord is

Content Where the Spirit of the Lord is (2 Corinthians 3:12-18)

After Moses went up to Mount Sinai and fasted for 40 days, he received the Ten Commandments and came down, and his face shone. But Moses covered his face with a towel. This was because he knew that it would appear and disappear temporarily, rather than a brilliance that would last forever. The veil that covered Moses' face represents the law. The law revealed in the Old Testament will never save man and will put him in despair. In the Bible, the Old Testament law is expressed as a schoolteacher. The translation of the Law as a schoolteacher is nothing less than a tutor. Realizing that there is no salvation through the law, he pleads for freedom whenever he returns to Jesus. Although we have been saved and have received eternal life, there are still conflicts in the flesh. But only when the Holy Spirit comes upon us, we can be free from all these problems.

(1) The Holy Spirit gives us freedom. The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom! What is freedom? It means to be freed from the state of being entangled or bound. Fallen man has lived in the bondage of sin, suffering under the fear of death. The cross of Jesus paid the price for all our sins and set us free from the judgment of sin and death. But freedom is not to commit the sin of ignoring the Holy Spirit and obscuring the glory of God.

(2) The Holy Spirit gives us life.

Ezekiel 37:1-10 Yahweh leads Ezekiel into the valley, and dry bones are born! Come from the four winds, and blow on these slain, that they may live! At this time, the dry bones of the valley came to life. Everyone! Do you want your soul to be revived like the dry bones of Ezekiel's Valley?

I pray that you will receive the filling of the Holy Spirit and rise up today.

(3) How can we receive the Holy Spirit?

When we gathered together to pray, when we sing, when we listen to the Word, and when we repent, the amazing filling of the Holy Spirit arose. This is worship. The reason we worship is to receive the Holy Spirit. I pray that you will become the members of Seomun Church who confirm the filling of the Holy Spirit every time you worship.

In the vision of Ezekiel 47, we see water flowing from the east side of the temple. An angel of God takes Ezekiel and measures the water once every 1,000 cubits (about 550m) and makes it cross. What does this symbolize? It is to show people who live in the Holy Spirit.

1. Some church members have an ankle-deep relationship with the Holy Spirit.

In this way, the person who has the grace of the Holy Spirit locked in his ankles is a person who is entirely self-centered. It's enough to just come to church on a Sunday and worship for a while and then go back. I am a person who returns and lives as the owner.

2. Some church members have a relationship between the Holy Spirit and themselves that is knee-high.

He is a person who tries to depend on the Lord through worship, prayer, and district meetings, but still puts his knowledge and experience first in his life.

3. There are people who depend on the Holy Spirit at the height of their waist.

About half depend on the Holy Spirit. It has the appearance of godliness, but without the power of godliness. Their words and deeds are different, and they are not sincere. It is a life without fruit. It's still a life that crawls to where you want to go and what you want to do.

4. However, there are people who have the Holy Spirit as their master.

I can't be the master when my body gets submerged. I must completely trust and entrust myself to the water. Then you can go anywhere in the water and have fun in it. The same is true of those who are filled with the Holy Spirit. He lives a truly free life in the Holy Spirit. He is by no means self-centered. We live our lives completely entrusting ourselves to the Holy Spirit.

concluding remarks

The brilliance of Moses' face is temporary and imperfect. So I had no choice but to cover it up. But in Jesus Christ our splendor is eternal and must be revealed, not covered. I have to show the glory of God by shining that freedom and that glorious light on my face in front of the world.
