Title: Where the thoughts dwell (Hebrews 12:1)
where thoughts dwell
Hebrews 12:1-3
Another thing is to believe as you think. ‘That’s why it was like this.’ ‘Because it was like this, it must have been like that.’ As I think about it, my belief grows deeper and deeper. We call these things. Abraham is a man of faith. But from the beginning, he wasn't such a good believer. In Genesis 12, God said to Abraham, “Leave your hometown and go to the promised land, and I will give you descendants.” As I believed it, the truth stumbled several times.
So, even though they said that they would give them land, they fled to Egypt because of a famine, and they said that they would give them a child, but after waiting for 10 or 20 years, I got a bastard named Ishmael. I stumbled like this, but God said, “No! That's not what I told you. That's not what I promised you.” Each time he did, he changed his mind. added faith. 'The promises of God can be trusted. Indeed, his power and wisdom are astonishing, and the economy he chose for me is a great one.’ And isn't the climax, in which thought gradually developed faith, was the event of Mount Moriah?
In a book called [Richard Carlson], ‘the choice of point of view is very important’. It is said that good or bad luck depends on which one you think about the exact same thing. Happiness is not a matter of possession. Happiness is not a matter of status. Happiness is not even a matter of knowledge. The problem is, depending on which way you think, you can be happy or unhappy. After all, human happiness is a matter of thought. So if you think positively, you become an optimist. If he has the tendency to think positively and think brightly in a good direction, he is happy in all things. But when you start thinking negatively, there is no end.
There is a saying in the Talmud: “The strongest man is the one who overcomes himself, and the stronger one is the one who turns his enemies into friends. And the affluent is the one who is content with what he has.” What does that mean? It's a thought after all ‘I am satisfied. Ah, I am overflowing. I am exceedingly happy.” Those who think that way are the richest.
Therefore, we need to think about important issues as we organize our thoughts. What it means is reason, which is the function of thought. The question is whether the opposite sex is healthy or ill. I do not know that the person who always causes discord due to negative thinking and abnormal reason is fundamentally sick of my thoughts and reason. In that state, no matter how hard you try to keep up, you cannot create a bright future. Therefore, the most essential word is that reason must be regenerated. It means that reason had to be reborn. Only then can we see the rational world.
Why do people who study hard these days, become famous, become politicians, and so-called successful people cause trouble? Why are you ruining the country? Isn't it because you studied a lot and became smart to do that? Then why? Reason was sick. You have to heal the sick reason.
Think of the one who endured me. There is someone who has endured for my arrogance, so why can't I be patient? Reason must be reborn. I always say, 'I am a person who looks to Jesus and lives. If you keep thinking, ‘I am a believer,’ it means that there is happiness.
There is a famous saying. It became Carrier's Law when a man named [Willis H. Carrier] went through a lot of hardships and became successful, summarized the secret of his success and taught it to many people. The first rule of overcoming hardship is to think about it. Ultimately, it is a sense of purpose in what I live for. The second thing is to think deeply about what I am thinking and worrying about right now. It is about accepting that there is a will of God in this reality. And the third is to. They say that no matter how difficult the reality, there is always a way. It must be said that the solution to the problem can be found in the time to think.
That's right. Our lives change into a completely different world according to our differences in thinking. As [John Templeton] said, “Thoughts that arise in the mind, by their very nature, are bound to come out.” There is something called the <80-20 rule>, which is a rule that 20% of thoughts control 80% of life. That is why thinking becomes an important factor.
Dear saints!
We are believers. Those who believe in Jesus Christ. Then our thoughts must be Christian thoughts, and only then can our actions follow. Where do your thoughts dwell today? Hopefully, there will always be something Christian in the place where your thoughts stay, and I hope that it is a place of thought with the traces of Jesus Christ.
