Title: Who Are You Waiting For?
Contents
(Luke 7:18-23)
But who is the one we have to wait for today and who must come? This was indeed the problem. John the Baptist sends a couple of disciples to Jesus to ask, "Are you the Messiah who must come? Otherwise, should we wait for someone else?" (Luke 7:20). Who should we wait for? Let's listen to Jesus' answer to this.
Next, Jesus made what he was doing as the answer. “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard, that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached” (Luke 7:22).
Jesus healed many sick and demon-possessed, gave sight to the blind, the lame stood up and walked, the lepers were cleansed, the deaf heard, the dead were raised, and the poor preached the gospel.
The Messiah we are waiting for today, who is really waiting for this age to come, heals our diseases today, drives out evil spirits, corrects our mental state, protects our physical health, and gives us dreams of seeing tomorrow. to make this standing society stand up and walk and move forward, to get rid of decaying corruption, to open the ears to hear what the deaf and deaf should hear, and to rot like a corpse He, who can revive the human spirit and bring good news to the poor, must also come today, and he is the one we are really waiting for.
The Messiah we are waiting for today, the main character of Christmas that the whole world eagerly longs for, is this person, and this person is the Son of God.
