Hallelujah!! We celebrated the first Easter Sunday of the 21st century. On this joyous day, I pray in the name of the Lord that the hope of resurrection and victory may be with the families of the beloved saints who come before the Lord and give praise and worship to the Lord in longing for grace.
Today is a typical spring day. Here and there on the earth, the pulsating sound of energetic life is heard. Life that seems to have died after being buried in the frozen soil during the winter is supporting the resurrection. On this blessed Easter, we all bless you in the name of Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus Christ, that we too may overflow with the blessings of the resurrection that triumphs over all diseases, sufferings and trials.
1. Text: The words that God gave us on this happy day are written records of the scene where the first resurrection took place 2000 years ago.
In the text, on the third day after Jesus was buried, at dawn, Mary Magdalene and Mary Daun came to see the tomb of Jesus, and suddenly a great earthquake occurred. Of course, the women are startled and hide themselves, but an angel comes down from heaven.
And the angel rolls the large stone blocking the tomb. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. Seeing this, the upright soldiers were terrified and trembled and became like dead people. Then the angels said to the women,
(5) The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. (6) He is not here, but has risen, just as he said. Come and see where he lay." 7) Go quickly and say to his disciples, "He has risen from the dead, and he is going before you into Galilee, and there you will see him." Behold, I have told you.
Says. When the women heard this, they were frightened, amazed, and joyful, and ran to announce the resurrection of Jesus, with Jesus standing in front of them.
(8) The women left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to make it known to the disciples. (9) Jesus met them and said to them, “Are you in peace?” So the women went out and grabbed his feet and worshiped him. "Do not be afraid," said the Lord, "go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there you will see me."
When Jesus met the women, he told them not to be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and they will see me there. It was like the dawn of dawn to the disciples who were wandering in the dark night without knowing where to go. We pray that it will be a time to receive grace while pondering the Word based on this incident.
1. The Resurrection Event of Jesus: The words of God today record the scene of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Jesus is a historical and undeniable factual event. The proof of that is that the early church, which was disintegrated, grew like a fire and spread the gospel all over the world.
The resurrection of Jesus is a gift from God that gives dreams and hopes to all mankind. Resurrection is God's sign that promises us eternal victory.
For those who believe, please believe that the resurrection of Jesus is my resurrection. Please believe that the victory of Jesus will be my victory. Please believe that the glory of Jesus will be my glory. Hallelujah!!
2, those who possess the resurrection
1) Those who take up the cross first enjoy the glory of resurrection. All Christians are people who take up their cross according to God's command. Even when Jesus went to Golgotha, carrying that heavy cross, he offered himself as a sacrifice for God's holy work of salvation.
The cross is a combination of contempt, great suffering, and arrogance. So we see Jesus Christ begging us not to lose our teeth. But the crown is a glorious thing.
Anyone likes a crown. The problem is that there is a serious problem in pursuing the crossless crown. We believe that the saints who give up glory and take up the cross first will become the protagonists of the resurrection victory.
2) First, those who follow God's will enjoy the glory of resurrection. We wander between God's will and my plan. If we follow God's will, the damage is enormous. God told Jesus to be crucified and die. Does God carry the cross for who will suffer that pain and that contempt? It's all mine, too.
Following God's will is an indescribable burden on us. No matter what God requires or commands from me, only those who first follow God's will will enjoy the glory of resurrection.
3) Those who die first enjoy the glory of resurrection. The problem of life and death is the most important and serious problem for human beings. Death awaited before the resurrection of Jesus.
The glory of resurrection came to Jesus who accepted this death. We refuse to die. Because I am alive, I exist. But resurrection first requires death.
God's thoughts become enemies with the flesh. (Romans 8:7-8) The troubles of Jesus Christ were also due to the death of the flesh. That is why he prayed so that the sweat on his forehead would become drops of blood. (Luke 22:44) Those who die first enjoy the glory of resurrection.
Conclusion: Resurrection is a victory. It is a great victory over death and the power of sin./ Resurrection is a bountiful blessing. Spiritually - heaven, physically - joy, thanksgiving, hope, and materially - abundance. I pray in the name of the Lord that we can all enjoy this wonderful blessing by making the resurrection of the Lord our own.
