Old Testament
6 And when they came, Samuel saw Eliab, and said in his heart, The one whom the Lord anoints is indeed before the Lord.
7 The LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his countenance or stature, for I have forsaken him. I do not look like a man. A man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
8 Jesse called Abinadab and made him pass before Samuel, and Samuel said, "This is also not the Lord's choice."
9 And Jesse passed through Shammah, and Samuel said, "This too was not chosen by the LORD."
10 Jesse made all seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to Jesse, "The Lord has not chosen them."
12 So he sent and brought him, and he was red in color, and his eyes were beautiful, and his face was beautiful. And the LORD said, "This is him, rise up and anoint him."
13 Samuel took a horn of oil and poured it on him from among his brethren. From that day on, David was greatly moved by the Spirit of the Lord. Samuel left and went to Ramah.

1 As Jesus was going on the way, he saw a man who had been blind from birth.
2 The disciples asked him, "Rabbi, whose sin was it that this man was born blind, or his or his parents?
3 Jesus answered, It was not because of the sins of this man or his parents, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.
4 For while it is still daytime, we must do the work of him who sent me; and the night is coming, when no one can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 When he had said this, he spit on the ground, made mud and put it on his eyes
7 He said to them, "Go and wash in the pool of Siloam." (Siloam literally means sent) So he went and washed, and came back with bright eyes.

As Jesus was walking with his disciples, he saw a man who was blind from birth and healed him. The people took him to the Pharisees. The Pharisees asked the blind man how he opened his eyes because it was a sabbath the day Jesus made the clay to open his eyes. The blind man said that the man put mud on my eyes, so I could wash and see.
They soon turned their attention to Jesus' breaking of the Sabbath. They were more interested in keeping the law to make it their righteousness and keeping people under their control by keeping the law, rather than rejoicing and thankful that this man, who had been blind from birth, had his eyes opened. Jesus wanted to condemn that he did not come from God because he did not keep the Sabbath. But it didn't work out as intended. The Pharisees are
They alternately interrogated the person and their parents, but could not get the answer they wanted. The blind man did not have the expertise they had, but said that what had happened to him could not have been done except by God. Through interrogation, he realized more and more and began to have faith in Jesus.
The Pharisees, unable to answer the man who had been healed, drove him out. When Jesus met him, he asked, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” He answered, “Who is he? I want to believe.” When Jesus said I am he, the man bowed down to Jesus and confessed his faith, saying, “Lord, I believe.” who is blind Jesus said that He came to make the blind see, and to judge those who see to be blind. When the Pharisees said, “Are we blind too?” Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would have no sin, but if you say you see, your sins are still there.” “
When we confess, “Lord, I am blind,” you open our eyes.
