Title: Who is Greater (Matthew 18:1-4)
Content In Matthew 18:1-4, the disciples asked Jesus who will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
At that time, Jesus raised up a little child and said that he is not like a child, and cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven, but in heaven he who humbles himself like this child is the greatest.
In this era in which we live today, everyone is pursuing a larger size. Apartments are getting bigger, and cars are getting bigger and bigger, refrigerators, TVs, and washing machines are getting bigger.
As this trend came into the church, the church also sought to enlarge. It is truly surprising and proud to say that among the top 50 churches in the world, there are 23 churches in our country.
It is said that on Sundays, church vehicles flock to the front door of the apartment building to pick up guests and sometimes fight. The battle over who is bigger is happening all around us.
The kingdom of God is not measured in terms of worldly methods, material, or quantity, but only who did the best in the good fight of the gospel.
Those who want to become truly great people must cast away their greed with a pure heart like a child and form a church community that forms one body that the Lord truly desires.
As commanded, yet famous; as dead, but not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as having nothing, yet possessing all things (2 Corinthians 6:4-10)
